When it comes to the New Testament, we look at 6 reasons to trust the New Testament authors as reliable witnesses to Jesus miraculous life, teaching, death, resurrection, and ascension. Christians can confidently build their lives on the New Testament today.

Imagine you were on a jury for a murder trial. What would make you trust the witnesses? You would want several trustworthy eyewitnesses. You would look for testimony that was serious, consistent, not exaggerated, and not self-serving.

When we apply those same standards to the New Testament authors, their testimony is overwhelming. The New Testament was written close to the events it describes, while eyewitnesses were still alive. The writers include embarrassing details about Jesus, his family and the apostles. They lived with integrity, taught holiness and honesty, and had no obvious earthly gain from making up their message.

In fact, many of them suffered, lost safety and status, and were martyred for proclaiming Jesus’ resurrection. People may die for a lie, but not for what they know is a lie.

So, can you trust the New Testament? The evidence gives us strong reasons to say yes. And if the New Testament authors are trustworthy, their message is not merely interesting history. It is a call to trust Jesus as Savior and Lord.

You may have heard people claim there are 200,000 to 400,000 Biblical "errors" in the New Testament, and a number that large can sound terrifying if you are trying to trust Scripture.

But that claim is profoundly misleading. In this episode of the Binmin Popscast, we explain why serious scholars call these differences New Testament VARIANTS, not errors! Given the more than 5,800 handwritten Greek New Testament manuscripts, small differences are expected. But those differences do not mean the original text has been lost.

Instead, the abundance of New Testament manuscripts gives scholars more material to compare. This helps them identify spelling differences, word order changes, accidental omissions, and other minor variations. Most variants are trivial and obvious, and even the genuinely debated ones do not change any core Christian doctrine.

So when someone says there are hundreds of thousands of errors in the Bible, you do not need to panic. The better question is whether these variants destroy the reliability of the New Testament. The answer is no. Far from undermining confidence, the manuscript evidence shows that the New Testament has been preserved with remarkable care.

The New Testament remains a trustworthy foundation for faith.

Can you really trust the Bible after it has been copied so many times? In this episode of the Binmin Popscast, we look at real historical evidence to answer one of the most important questions Christians, skeptics, and spiritually curious people ask: Can I trust the Bible?

Maybe you have heard critics say the Bible has been changed, corrupted, or copied too many times to be reliable. In this video, we walk through three tests historians use to evaluate ancient documents: how many manuscript copies exist, how close those copies are to the original writings, and how accurately the text was passed down. When we apply these same historical tests to the New Testament, Scripture stands in a category of its own.

The New Testament has thousands of Greek manuscripts, thousands more early translations, and over a million quotations from early church fathers. That abundance does not weaken confidence in the Bible. It gives scholars more material to compare so they can identify differences and determine what the original text said.

So, can you trust the Bible? The historical evidence gives strong reasons to say yes. And if the Bible is trustworthy, then Scripture is not merely an ancient document to study. It is God’s Word for you to receive.
