Insert "it's been awhile here"…but there is a reason! We moved and Melissa went to school for a bit so we've been a bit distracted. But we are not distracted with this return episode…which is a little long BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT! Melissa brings Bryan the band Medicine. Hailing from Los Angeles Medicine brings the noise-gaze as Melissa coined it. We go deep into their debut "Shot Forth Self Living" and follow up stone cold classic…"The Buried Life". Wow, it has been awhile and wow once again Melissa brings Bryan a 4AD band…what…do…you…know. I tell you what, Bryan does not know this excellent but somewhat obscure band called Swallow. So Melissa brings their album Blow highlighting some of their most solid tracks bringing Bryan into the know and he is happy she did!

This week Melissa brings us a real bummer of a band...Idaho, specifically their 1996 classic album "Three Sheets to The Wind". Melissa loves the pure slow and mellow tones of Idaho's songs. There are lots of hearts on this one and Bryan brings back the stone-cold-classic label for the song "Shame"! This is a great album that we love and we think you will too. Welcome back and happy 2025! Melissa put in the work this week with the band Wade. She unearthed some old, as she calls them, "comp tapes" and re-rememberd one of her favorite bands. She discovered Wade through a 45 with hand written notes that connected Wade to Red House painters and once she gave it a listen she was hooked! Anyway, Melissa reached out to a member of the band who gave her some insight of how the band formed and all about their self-titled album "Wade".
