On a slightly different episode of Low Blows, we look at the Christmas release of HBO’s new Harry Potter TV show and how we feel about it in-light of JK Rowling’s comments about trans people over the years.

It’s a subject very close to the hearts of Gerry & Ger. The first ever podcast they did together, in 2018, was discussing their shared love and the personal resonance of the Harry Potter series to them. However they also have trans people close to them in their lives so JK Rowling’s comments hit them on a personal level. How do they untangle this ahead of the show?
