    Episode 14: Homestead Magic w/ Seba O’Kiley

    06/04/2026 | 57 mins.
What does it really mean to be a witch of your environment?

In this episode, Kanani Soleil sits down with author, farmer, and Southern Fried Witch host Seba O’Kiley for a deeply grounded conversation on land-based magic beyond the fantasy of the “witch in the woods.” Together, they unpack what it means to practice where you are, whether that’s an apartment, suburb, or sprawling acreage.

From researching the history beneath your feet to honoring land spirits, native ecosystems, and unseen ancestors, Seba shares powerful insights on becoming a “geographical witch” and building a reciprocal relationship with the land. The conversation dives into stewardship over ownership, ethical offerings, rewilding, and the magic of everyday spaces that many overlook.

This episode is a reminder that magic isn’t somewhere else waiting for you. It’s already here. You just have to learn how to listen.

    BIO

Annie Aube is an artist, herbalist, and the owner of Necessary Magic, a spiritual goods shop rooted in intention, craftsmanship, and deep reverence for the natural world. Raised in rural Alaska, Annie’s connection to nature began early, spending her childhood exploring forests, speaking with plants, and creating with whatever the land provided.

Her path into herbal magic began unexpectedly in 2020, when a period of upheaval led her to rediscover her creative instincts through foraging and crafting herb bundles. What started as a personal practice quickly evolved into a thriving business centered on ethically sourced herbs, ritual tools, and handmade objects designed to bring healing, beauty, and meaning into everyday life.

Drawing from Norse and Celtic pagan traditions, Annie incorporates rune work, bind runes, and plant magic into her practice, creating pieces that blend ancient symbolism with modern intention. Now based in Astoria, Oregon, she spends her days foraging, gardening, crafting, and continuing to deepen her relationship with the plants and energies she works with.

Episode 11: Persephone and the Spring Equinox w/ Robin Corak

    16/03/2026 | 55 mins.
In this episode, Kanani Soleil is joined by author and priestess of Persephone Robin Corak to explore the powerful myth and modern relevance of the goddess Persephone. Together they revisit the story from Homer’s Hymn to Demeter, discussing Persephone’s descent into the underworld, Demeter’s grief, and how the myth reflects the seasonal cycle of death and rebirth.

Robin shares how Persephone’s journey mirrors the work many witches face today: shadow work, personal transformation, and reclaiming one’s power. The conversation explores the idea of a “third path,” where Persephone creates her own way forward rather than choosing between two opposing forces, a lesson that resonates deeply in modern spiritual practice.

Kanani and Robin also discuss practical ways to connect with Persephone through offerings, meditation, gardening, and seasonal rituals tied to the Spring Equinox. From honoring cycles of growth to embracing renewal, this episode invites listeners to reflect on their own journey of rebirth and transformation.

Episode 10: What is St. Patrick's Day w/ Lora O'Brien

    09/03/2026 | 54 mins.
Every March, the world turns green. Shamrocks, parades, and bold claims about a saint who “drove the snakes out of Ireland.” But what’s the real story behind Saint Patrick — and why does it matter to modern witches?

In this episode, Kanani Soleil sits down with Irish author and educator Lora O’Brien to separate history from propaganda. Was Patrick truly responsible for converting Ireland? Did he banish snakes? Or was his legend shaped by centuries of church politics and nationalist mythmaking?

Together, they unpack the historical sources, the role of colonization, the truth about druids, and how modern pagans can approach St. Patrick’s Day with awareness instead of reaction.

This isn’t about canceling a holiday. It’s about context, culture, and who gets to control the story.

Be thoughtful. Be aware. And maybe crack a history book before sharing that meme. 🍀
