Can you really ditch a 1200cc adventure bike for a 125cc mini bike and have MORE fun?
In this episode of Bru Time, Bruce sits down with Dean Lambert from "Monkey Dix Adventures" to explore the growing world of small-CC motorcycle touring. Dean shares his journey from moving heavy cruisers and adventure touring rigs to completing a grueling 4,000-mile solo endurance loop of the UK coastline on a tiny Honda.
We also explore Dean’s recent clockwise trek around the entire coast of Ireland in a utilitarian Tuk Tuk, complete with wild, unexpected roadside encounters, Irish hospitality, and a late-night accordion session in a hand-built yurt.
Beyond the machinery, this is an incredibly honest conversation about mental health. Dean opens up about his personal experience with a sudden anxiety breakdown, the psychological tools that helped him take back control, and his ongoing work as a facilitator for the UK-wide charity Andy’s Man Club. We also discuss his role as an ambassador for Boot Out Breast Cancer and how community support can carry you through the toughest miles.
Whether you ride a massive touring rig or a small scooter, this episode will challenge everything you think you need for a proper adventure.

On this week’s episode 196 of Bru Time, Bruce sits down with Nathan Whatton, the mind behind Routero (https://routeroapp.com), a completely grassroots, free mobile app built specifically to serve the UK biking community.
Before he was a developer, Nathan spent over a decade working as a professional Hollywood stuntman, doubling for Antonio Banderas and surviving some brutal on-set injuries. Nathan shares how he went from leaving school with no grades to teaching himself how to code on his laptop after putting the kids to bed, all to build an intuitive app featuring "Surprise Me" routing, biker-centric cafe logs, and a unique gear-sharing marketplace.
They dive into the grit of self-made projects, the power of a stubborn mindset, the value of deep friendships, and answer a stellar batch of listener questions ranging from red vs. brown sauce to the classic TV shows of their generation.
Head over to https://routeroapp.com to download the free app and find your next riding community hotspot.

24/06/2026 | 2h 17 mins.CONTACT ME - leave a text or VOICEMAIL
From redundancy to building a business in the "back arse of nowhere"—Adam Wight returns to Bru Time!
In episode 195, Bruce sits down with return guest Adam Wight, the mastermind behind the newly launched PathfinderMoto.com (and the face of Bikes for Brains). Adam shares his story of getting made redundant and why it was the best thing to happen to his mental health in a decade.
The guys dive deep into why modern society is getting soft, the profound mental health benefits of getting stuck in a ditch with a group of strangers, and why motorbiking inherently forces you to be vulnerable. Plus, they answer plenty of community questions covering:
Top tips for shifting your perspective from local bike nights to major adventure tours.
Fixing the slightly "wanky" throttle response below 3,000 revs on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
A brutal, honest assessment of Kove Moto (Kove 450 Rally and 800) and whether Chinese manufacturing is finally beating the big brands on chassis feel.
And an essential debate on the deliciousness and crumbly texture of Spanish Manchego cheese.

But it’s not all serious - the lads dive deep into the ultimate bike debates: Is the BMW GS actually better than a KTM Super Duke? Why does Ducati ownership feel like a toxic relationship? And are modern adventure bikes losing their charm to smaller CC machines?
Plus, we answer your brilliant Patreon and Instagram questions covering everything from future classic bikes, the truth about Elvis, custom butt plugs, and the infamous "Joe Overtaking" style on a 9-horsepower monkey bike. Grab a brew (or a glass of Monkey Shoulder) and enjoy the ramble!

03/06/2026 | 2h 52 mins.CONTACT ME - leave a text or VOICEMAIL
In Episode 193 of the Bru Time podcast, Bruce sits down with former European Tour professional golfer Warren "Trev" Bennett for an exceptionally grounded look at the brutal highs and lows of elite sports and life after the spotlight fades.
Trev openly shares his memories of playing against and beating an amateur Tiger Woods, the intense financial strain of chasing success on the tour circuit, and the profound mental health impact of an anxiety-induced nervous breakdown at the 2004 Open Championship. He discusses the reality of going from international success to having zero pounds in his bank account, his ten-year technical obsession to repair his swing, and the liberating perspective of choosing a simpler, more meaningful life.
The lads also dig into their shared love of motorcycling - discussing the current state of the global bike market, Trev’s history with the BMW R18, and Bruce's recent grueling 66-hour UK tour on a 125cc scooter. Finally, Trev highlights the lifesaving Type 1 diabetes awareness work being done by the Adam Bell Foundation.
