The Plot Thickens

This week on The Plot Thickens, we’re recapping another landmark event in Babs and Glenn’s life as a married couple - their joint 70th birthday! Whit and Lennie (begrudgingly) are working with the dance coach Gulia and are doing their best to keep up and keep their relationship together at the same time. In the meantime, Will is pleading with Whitney to start sending him photos of her food - even one a day will do! But will Whitney send him photos of her meal from the buffet at the party? Unlikely. Finally, Whitney ventures to Kerryn Feehan’s comedy show to see what she’s all about, but an awkward confrontation leads to tears and zero reconciliation, so who’s laughing now?

Are you ready for the biggest face-off since "down goes Frasier"? Good! Because Whit is going head-to-head and pound for pound with a skinny comedienne who thinks fat jokes are the funniest thing since Bugs Bunny. Whit thinks fat jokes are lazy and lack creativity. Either way, we're in trouble when the comedienne comes on the Maney Roy & LauRen show and makes her opinions known. Whit's also having issues in her romantic life, as we know. She's hoping that a ballroom dance number with Lennie might help to ease some of the tension in their relationship. But will a cake taste testing go too far when it comes to eating healthy? Will it ruin Whitney's chances of achieving her goals? Will trainer Will ever take Whitney seriously? All things will be revealed in this recap episode!

On this second part of a noteworthy episode, we’ve got some big moments, tense confrontations, and lackluster responses. As we know, Whitney stopped by Lennie’s house on the way to her job at the radio station in the wee hours of the morning, and his truck was nowhere to be found. This week, Whit is putting her situation on the air and asking the hosts of the radio show their thoughts. Spoiler alert: they’re not good. 
But what’s even worse is Lennie’s excuse for why he wasn’t home at 3 AM… Will a therapy session - I mean, friendly chat… with Tal solve Whitney’s relationship problems? Or will it take a lot more than that? Tune in and find out!

Something is rotten in Greensboro this episode, and it's not the super boney fish that Will asked Whitney to cook and eat for a healthy dinner! With her back still in the healing process and her relationship with Will on the line, Whit gives swimming a try with crowd favorite, Mattie! And make no mistake, though she's harboring a "Happy Meal," Mattie is all woman and knows her worth! In complaining to Mattie about Will's hardball approach with her, Whit decides that her status with Will isn’t the only thing that's on the line - she comes to realize that maybe Lennie's communication with her isn’t what it should be. Will Whit and Lennie move forward and bolster their communication, or is this an irreconcilable difference?

If we could say one phrase to describe this week’s episode, it would be “don’t drop the soap!” Poor Whitney blows her back out in the shower - whether it was reaching down for soap or something else, she’s out of commission for the Charlotte St. Paddy’s Day Parade and doesn’t know how she can coach the Big Girls when she can barely move! Especially because, as usual, we’re down to the wire on practices before we’re ready to perform. Will Whitney’s back injury ruin her chances of participating in her (alleged) first parade? Or will the “luck of the Irish” (aka Mattie) save the day as usual with a “jazzy” entrance?
