  • EP 140 | The perfectionism of the longing cycle
In this episode, I dig into the perfectionism that keeps so many of us in the cycle of waiting, hoping, and building up the longing for the perfect moment… only to freeze when the moment finally arrives. You know that thing you’ve been dreaming about doing (the quiet solo coffee, that creative project, the time to just be?) This episode explores why it can feel easier to long for it than to actually do it.And I share why disappointment doesn’t mean you’ve failed, it’s just part of the process. This is something that has come up with a lot of my clients recently, so this is how I’ve coached them through it, and I hope it helps you too. In this episode, you’ll learn:- Why your brain keeps you stuck in the “if only…” loop- What’s really underneath the pressure you put on solo time or hobbies- How to spot if perfectionism is stopping you from taking action- What to do when fear of disappointment holds you back- A gentler, more sustainable way to get what you’re longing forSo if that is you and you find yourself sitting in the longing cycle and you find yourself stopping from taking action, just recognise that maybe just, maybe it is your brain keeping you safe, because it feels easier to sit in the longing than it does to feel the disappointment or the discouragement of taking action and it not being.Resources for youJoin my email list of beautiful mums here to stay in the loop, feel less alone, and get the pep talks you didn’t know you needed.Download my free A Mother’s Mind Morning Musings guide — 10 simple prompts designed to help you create more space for yourself and feel more supported, in just 10 minutes a day.A Little Moment to Just Be Me Journal –  This is THE journal that I use and the one that I created just for mums like you.Join a Mother’s Mind Membership - a self paced program where you will implement the Offload Practice, a process driven approach, to successfully share your mental load, ultimately enjoying your daily life without mental exhaustion.Connect with me:Check out my Mindset Journal, just for Mums HERECheck out my Website HEREConnect with me on Instagram @michelle.c.weeks

  • EP 139 | The best way to be kinder to yourself
This episode is about the best way to be kinder to yourself and how it has nothing to do with bubble baths or slowing down.I talk about the power of giving yourself credit (genuinely, not just as a throwaway) and how to retrain your brain to actually see the good you do each day.I share how this shift is possible for anyone, even if your default right now is self-doubt, harsh inner talk, or constantly focusing on what’s not working. In this episode, you’ll learn:- Why your brain overlooks the good stuff (and how to change that)- How to know if your default thoughts are holding you back- What language and tone you actually want to hear in your head- How to start teaching your brain a new, kinder inner dialogue- Simple ways to make self-kindness feel more concrete and naturalIf you’ve ever wanted to be a bit nicer to yourself but didn’t know how to make it stick, this one will show you what that really looks like in everyday motherhood.Resources for youJoin my email list of beautiful mums here to stay in the loop, feel less alone, and get the pep talks you didn’t know you needed.Download my free A Mother’s Mind Morning Musings guide — 10 simple prompts designed to help you create more space for yourself and feel more supported, in just 10 minutes a day.A Little Moment to Just Be Me Journal –  This is THE journal that I use and the one that I created just for mums like you.Join a Mother’s Mind Membership - a self paced program where you will implement the Offload Practice, a process driven approach, to successfully share your mental load, ultimately enjoying your daily life without mental exhaustion.Connect with me:Check out my Mindset Journal, just for Mums HERECheck out my Website HEREConnect with me on Instagram @michelle.c.weeks

  • EP 138 | The impact of the saying ‘it is what it is’.
This episode is about a little phrase that gets thrown around a lot… “it is what it is.”I’m talking about the impact this has on how we view our lives, how we settle for things that don’t feel good, and why that matters more than we often realise. This episode is part soapbox, part pep talk and a whole lot of encouragement to question the stories we’ve been handed about how life has to feel. If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking “maybe this is just how it is now,” I want you to listen to this one.In this episode, you’ll learn:- Why “it is what it is” can keep you stuck without even realising it- What I’ve noticed when this phrase shows up in motherhood and adult life- How I catch myself before settling into stress as the default- What to do when your belief in possibility starts to feel shaky- How to hold on to your own way of thinking (even when others don’t get it)This episode will remind you that it’s okay to want it, and you’re allowed to go after it.Resources for youJoin my email list of beautiful mums here to stay in the loop, feel less alone, and get the pep talks you didn’t know you needed.Download my free A Mother’s Mind Morning Musings guide — 10 simple prompts designed to help you create more space for yourself and feel more supported, in just 10 minutes a day.A Little Moment to Just Be Me Journal –  This is THE journal that I use in my days and created for mums just like you.Join a Mother’s Mind Membership - a self paced program where you will implement the Offload Practice, a process driven approach, to successfully share your mental load, ultimately enjoying your daily life without mental exhaustion.Connect with me:Check out my Mindset Journal, just for Mums HERECheck out my Website HEREConnect with me on Instagram @michelle.c.weeks

  • EP 137 | Building a journaling practice
In this episode, I’m diving into one of my absolute favourite mindset tools.Journaling is something I’ve used for years to help unjumble my thoughts, find clarity, and stay connected to myself through the everyday chaos of motherhood.Lately, I’ve had so many mums tell me they want to journal but feel unsure how to start or what it’s meant to look like.So I’m keeping this episode short and simple, walking you through how I personally journal (no rules, no pressure), what it actually gives me, and a few other ways you can get the same outcome without picking up a pen.In this episode, you’ll learn:- Why journaling is one of my go to mindset tools- What to focus on when you’re just starting- How I use it to shift thoughts that aren’t helping me- What to do if journaling isn’t your thing but you still want the benefits- How to make it a habit without needing perfect conditionsIf your head is feeling full and you’re craving a bit of space to think more clearly, this episode is for you.If your head is feeling full and you’re craving a bit of space to think more clearly, this episode is for you.A Little Moment to Just Be Me Journal –  This is THE journal that I use in my days, and the one that I created for Mums just like you. • EP 136 | What it feels like to be resourced
In this episode, I’m talking about something that shows up for every single mum I work with…resourcing yourself. I’ve been in a season lately where I’ve felt really under resourced (read: depleted, stretched, frazzled, low on joy). And I’m walking you through what that looks like in real life, how it shows up in sneaky ways, and how I’m choosing to shift back into a more supported, sustainable place, without waiting for the stars to align.I share how I know when I’m sliding into that under resourced zone, what I do to gently bring myself back, and why imperfect action always wins.In this episode, you’ll learn:- What feeling under resourced actually looks and sounds like in everyday motherhood- How to notice your own early warning signs before things boil over- Why waiting for the “perfect time” to feel better isn’t helping you- Simple shifts I’m making (that don’t require overhauling your life)- What communication has to do with resourcing and how to do it wellThis episode is your reminder that you are allowed to prioritise your needs and that when you do, it ripples out to everyone around you.Resources for youJoin my email list of beautiful mums here to stay in the loop, feel less alone, and get the pep talks you didn’t know you needed.Download my free A Mother’s Mind Morning Musings guide — 10 simple prompts designed to help you create more space for yourself and feel more supported, in just 10 minutes a day.A Little Moment to Just Be Me Journal –  This is THE journal that I use in my days when working through this exercise!
