Newbie Star Trek

Ask a Trek Expert with Marc Scott Zicree! "First Contact" is considered one of the best episodes of TNG ever made, and "Far Beyond the Stars" is considered one of the best episodes of DS9 ever made, perhaps all of Star Trek. And Marc Scott Zicree wrote the story for BOTH of them! He's also had a very long writing career before and after that, including working on many beloved animated shows like He-Man, The Real Ghostbusters, Super Friends, as well as live-action sci-fi shows like Babylon 5, Sliders, TekWar, and much more. He's also had quite an independent streak over the past 20 years or so, writing, directing, and helping to finance the Star Trek fan film "World Enough and Time," his own sci-fi series Space Command, and now the Showrunners Network, an initiative he and his wife, Elaine Zicree, are launching together to help get multiple independent sci-fi projects funded at once. Marvin interviewed him solo because, well... dicussing "Far Beyond the Stars" would result in quite a few spoilers for our newbies. But it was a fascinating chat with an industry veteran!
