What does gratitude have to do with your relationship with food?
    More than you might think.
In this episode of Living Life Unbinged, I share a simple but powerful shift that changed the way I approached eating. For years, I found myself mindlessly snacking at night, eating on autopilot, and finishing food without even remembering if I enjoyed it. The problem wasn’t hunger, it was disconnection.
Through a gentle reminder from God to slow down and be present, I began to see how gratitude can interrupt mindless eating, bring us back to the present moment, and help us make more intentional choices with food.
We’ll talk about why mindless eating, stress eating, and emotional eating often thrive when we’re disconnected from the present, and how a simple practice of thanksgiving can help us reconnect with both God and our bodies.
✨ In this episode, you’ll learn:
The surprising connection between gratitude and eating habits
Why mindless eating often happens on autopilot
How gratitude helps you become more present during meals
The role thankfulness plays in a healthy relationship with food
Why appreciating your body can reduce self-sabotaging behaviors
A simple 30-second practice to transform the way you eat
How 1 Thessalonians 5:18 applies to your food journey
If you’ve ever finished a meal and barely remembered eating it, this episode offers a practical, faith-based way to slow down, savor your food, and experience greater peace around eating. 🩷

Have you ever found yourself reaching for sugar the moment life feels overwhelming?
In this episode of Living Life Unbinged, we’re unpacking the powerful connection between stress and sugar cravings and why emotional eating often has far less to do with willpower than you may think.
When stress levels rise, your body releases cortisol, triggering cravings for quick energy and instant comfort. The problem? While sugar may provide temporary relief, it often leaves us feeling worse, creating a cycle of stress, cravings, and frustration.
🩷 In this episode, you’ll learn:
✨ Why stress triggers cravings for sweets
✨The role cortisol plays in emotional eating
✨Why reaching for sugar isn’t a character flaw
✨How stress and cravings create a repeating cycle
✨What God’s Word says about anxiety and peace
✨A simple pause practice to help break the stress-eating pattern
✨How to train your brain to turn to God instead of the pantry
Through the encouragement of Philippians 4:6-7, you’ll discover that the peace you’re searching for isn’t found in food, it’s found in Christ. God’s peace can guard your heart and mind in ways that temporary comfort never can.
If you’ve been stuck in a cycle of stress eating, emotional eating, or sugar addiction, this episode will give you practical tools and biblical encouragement to take your next step toward freedom.

If you’re exhausted from starting over, this episode is for you.
Not just physically tired, but tired in your soul. Tired of trying another diet, another plan, another promise that seems to work for a little while, only to end up right back where you started.
In today’s episode of Living Life Unbinged, we’re talking about a truth that can change everything: failing a diet does not make you a failure.
For so many women, the struggle isn’t a lack of willpower. It’s that the deeper emotional and spiritual roots of the struggle were never addressed. Food plans can tell us what to eat, but they rarely help us understand what’s driving the cravings in the first place.
✨ In this episode, you’ll learn:
Why repeatedly struggling with food doesn’t mean you’ve failed
The difference between a failed diet and a failed person
What many weight loss plans are missing
How emotional and spiritual struggles can fuel food battles
Why awareness is the first step toward lasting freedom
A simple exercise to help uncover what’s been holding you back
How to find hope when you’re tired of starting over
Anchored in Isaiah 40:31, this episode reminds us that true strength doesn’t come from trying harder, it comes from placing our hope in the Lord.
🩷 If you’ve been wondering whether lasting freedom is possible, this episode offers a different perspective: maybe you don’t need another diet. Maybe you need the missing piece.
Because your breakthrough isn’t necessarily behind you. It may be right in front of you.

You’ve Been Using the Word “Treat” Wrong

What if the word “treat” doesn’t mean what we’ve been taught to think it means?
In today’s episode of Living Life Unbinged, I’m sharing a simple moment at my son’s football game that completely changed the way I think about food, rewards, and the word treat itself.
For years, like most families, we used the word “treat” to describe candy, ice cream, or sweets after events and activities. But during one ordinary night sitting in the bleachers with my husband and kids, I realized something powerful:
The candy wasn’t the real treat. The moment already was
    The laughter.
    The family time.
    The beautiful evening.
    The gift of being together.
    That was the treat.
     In this episode, you’ll learn:
How language shapes our relationship with food
Why we often connect rewards and comfort to sweets
A simple mindset shift that changes how you view “treats”
How reframing words can help break unhealthy food patterns
Why gratitude helps loosen food’s emotional power
How to teach children a healthier perspective around food and rewards
This episode is a gentle reminder that the best parts of life were never meant to come from sugar or snacks, they come from the gifts God has already placed around us every single day.
Because sometimes the real treat is the moment you’re already living.
