At 21 weeks and 4 days gestation, Cara noticed a small amount of blood after going to the bathroom. Deciding to get checked out, it was discovered that Cara cervix was weakened and the doctors could see her membranes. After various interventions (including a cervical stitch), Lochlan was born at 22 weeks and 6 days gestation. After 9 long days in NICU, beautiful baby Lochlan passed away.
