    Alyssa Kyria is a comedian, actor and writer, best known as The Funny Mummy, whose relatable comedy sketches regularly go viral and have amassed over 23 million views. She received a Best Supporting Actress nomination from the Dublin International Comedy Festival for her role as Annalise in the feature film Ashens and the Polybius Heist, which won Best Film at the London Film Festival 2021, and was a finalist in the Royal Court Theatre’s Screenshot competition in 2021. An accomplished voice actor, Alyssa has worked extensively with Audible and BBC Radio 4, and can currently be heard in Audible’s Sleeping Beauty, starring Stephen Fry and featuring the London Symphony Orchestra, where she voices multiple characters ranging from an Arabic Queen to an evil thorn .

    Ep. 556 - Vittorio Angelone - Edinburgh Comedy Award nominated comedian

    Vittorio Angelone is an Italian-Irish comedian who grew up in Belfast. He was nominated for the Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2022 and has had sold out runs at the Edinburgh in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. After moving to London to train as a classical musician he eventually made the predictable switch to stand-up comedy. He has risen through the ranks of the comedy world at an incredible speed, building a following with stand-up clips, podcasts and sketches amassing millions of views online. As well as having two sellout world tours under his belt, he has supported other huge names including Russell Howard, Jason Manford, Adam Rowe, Shane Todd, Sam Morril and Ivo Graham. He appeared at Just For Laughs Montreal in 2025 as part of their New Faces Showcase. He is a co-host of the hit podcast Mike & Vittorio’s Guide to Parenting and is a co-creator and writer of Fin vs The Internet .

    Amy Annette is a Funny Women award-winner and her 2025 Edinburgh show 'Busy Body' was one of the Best Reviewed Shows of the Edinburgh Fringe. Busy Body was nominated for Best Show at the Leicester Comedy Fest. Her debut in 2024, Thick Skin, transferred to the Soho Theatre where The Guardian gave it ★★★★ - saying Amy was ‘a delight to behold’. She is well-known in comedy circles as a writer and an experienced producer working for Tiger Aspect from 2016-2021 on such shows as Big Age on Ch4 and Lazy Susan on BBC3. She was script editor Hullraisers for Fable and C4 and editorial consultant for Tom Allen’s book ‘TOO MUCH’ published by Hodder, 2022. Aisling Bea says ‘Amy is one of my favourite comedians’ Amy’s opened for comedians including Rose Matafeo, Nish Kumar and Lou Sanders. As an improviser, she has hosted the popular show ‘Play Date’ with guests such as Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Patti Harrison and Lolly Adefope. Amy is just about to appear at Soho Theatre, in London with her show Busy Body .

    John Thompson is best known as a principal cast member of The Fast Show. He went on to star in the hit ITV drama Cold Feet as Pete Gifford. He studied drama at Manchester Polytechnic where he met Steve Coogan who secured him a job on Spitting Image and they continued to collaborate on many comedy projects over the following few years. The two won the Perrier Comedy Award in 1992 .

    Ep. 553 - Duncan Maitland - Musician who’s worked with bands Picturehouse, Pugwash and XTC

    Duncan Maitland is a musician, singer and writer. He formed his first band The Flood, in 1985 and later joined the Irish band, Picturehouse, on the recommendation of the producer of David Gary and the Pixies, Ronnie Stone. Picturehouse recorded their debut album, "Shine Box" which included Duncan's song "Fan Club" described by the music journalist John Walshe from Hot Press as among the best songs never recorded by the Beatles. The band continued to tour Europe the following year, supporting bands like Bon Jovi , Meatloaf and the Coors and in 1998 began work on their second album "Karmarama" for which Duncan wrote many songs including "Sunburst" which went on to become the band's biggest record. Duncan worked with the Irish band Pugwash and recorded a number of albums with them, as well as recording and touring as a solo performer. He also recorded with XTC.
