  • Ep. 504 - Sheli McCoy AKA Sabre from Gladiators
    Sheli McCoy is better known as "Sabre" from Gladiators, the British TV endurance sports game show, which she first appeared on in 2024. She is recognised as one of the stand-out stars of the show, going on to be a guest speaker for the Dundee University giving their Annual Public Lecture in Entrepreneurship, appearing on the BBC One charity fundraising show Comic Relief, the television quiz shows The Weakest Link and on The Wheel as one of the celebrity experts. Sheli is a fitness industry entrepreneur, who co-owns SweatBox in Dundee, a gym and health facility that houses her sports clinic, gym facility and Olympic weightlifting club. She set three Scottish weightlifting records in 2023 and she’s worked as a Personal trainer for over 13 years and has 10 years experience as a Crossfit Coach.   • Ep. 503 - Kerry Ellis
    Kerry Ellis is one of the biggest stars of musicals from the West End to Broadway. She originated the role of Meat, in Queen’s We Will Rock You and was the first British Elphaba in the West End smash, Wicked, for which Kerry won the 2008 Whatsonstage.com Award for ‘Best Takeover in a Role’. She then immediately transferred to Broadway and played Elphaba at the Gershwin Theatre for 6 months, where she won the Broadway.com Audience Award for Favourite Female Breakthrough Performance. Her many other leading role credits include Nancy in Oliver! at Drury lane, Eliza Doolittle My Fair Lady, Ellen in Miss Saigon, Fantine in Les Miserables and Grizabella in Cats at the London Palladium. Kerry’s first major CD release was the amazing Wicked in Rock, a collaboration with long time friend and Queen guitarist, Brian May. Her debut album Anthems was released in 2010 on Decca Records. The success of the album, which reached No.15 in the UK album chart, and No.10 in the UK pop club charts, led to a major tour which kicked off at the Royal Albert Hall.     Olia Hercules is a Ukrainian-born, London-based chef, food writer, and culinary storyteller renowned for bringing the vibrant flavours and traditions of Eastern Europe to a global audience. Olia trained at Leiths School of Food and Wine and went on to work as a chef de partie at Ottolenghi, later becoming a sought-after recipe developer and stylist. Her debut cookbook, Mamushka (2015), won the Fortnum & Mason Debut Food Book Award and earned her the Observer’s Rising Star accolade. She’s since published celebrated cookbooks including Kaukasis (2017), Summer Kitchens (2020), and Home Food (2022), each weaving rich cultural narratives into home-style recipes. In response to the 2022 invasion of Ukraine, Olia co-founded the #CookForUkraine initiative, raising over £2 million for relief efforts and earning prestigious awards from Observer Food Monthly, the Guild of Food Writers, and 50 Best Restaurants. Featured among British Vogue’s Most Influential Women of 2022, she continues to advocate for her heritage through writing, teaching, and activism.
