We chat about the track day, the problems that came with it, and why we’re now seriously considering buying an E10 Corolla for the XLI Cup.
We also get into the cars we regret selling, some of the absolute bargains we used to own, and whether the car scene has changed over the years. Are people still as into cars as they used to be, or has it become more about the look and being part of the scene?

Our first ever Cars & Coffee somehow actually worked… and we’re still trying to process it.
This week we’re joined by Michael from the Limited Slip Differences Podcast for a proper two-hour car-scene conversation covering everything from our first Redline Republic event and raising over four figures for charity, to 500hp Sierras, Saab engine swaps, Altezzas, old-school modified cars, podcasting, burnout, gatekeeping in the Irish car scene and plenty of questionable automotive opinions.

Dan also comes away from the Drift Games Bash wanting a drift car, we decide a rally challenge between the two of us needs to happen, and the conversation somehow takes a turn into tractors, Landinis and Badger’s questionable agricultural history.

Episode 29 of the Redline Republic Podcast!
This week we finally announce the details for our first ever Redline Republic Cars & Coffee, taking place on August 30th at Toro United Football Club C15 AE98 near Navan, with money being raised for Nobber Cancer Support Group. We also talk about the first merch drop, a few ideas for prizes on the day and why there’ll be absolutely no messing at the event.
After that, we get into the usual chaos, Marketplace arguments, whether you’d rather own your dream car completely standard or have unlimited money to modify something average, why lower-powered cars with a properly specced interior are starting to make more sense, and the frightening thought of actually having to look after a €20,000 car.We also get into dealer servicing prices, buying newer cars privately vs from a dealership, cars we hated years ago but would happily own now, and somehow end up ranking generations of the Volkswagen Golf while both of us are nearly falling asleep.
