COMPANION SAINT PRAYER
-St. Mother Teresa, your thirst for Jesus opened your heart to love. Show me where my own soul is parched that I may drink from the Living Water that quenches all desire.

PRAYER OF LETTING GO
To You do I belong, O God,
 into Your hands I surrender my life.
 Pour out Your Spirit upon me
 that I may love You perfectly,
 and serve You faithfully
 until my soul rests in You.

JOHN 4: 5-42 (Shortened)
So Jesus came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.

When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)

The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

In this ABIDE prayer, we enter the raw and honest story of Job—a faithful servant who trusted God even when everything familiar was taken away. Job reminds us that true faith is not the absence of questions, doubt, or pain, but the courage to remain with God in the midst of them. When suffering feels unfair, when prayers seem unanswered, and when God feels silent, this prayer invites us to stay rooted in trust and surrender. As we pray together, we place our burdens before the God who sees the whole story, who is present even in silence, and who remains faithful through every chapter of our lives. May this prayer strengthen your trust and renew your hope in the God who never lets go.
