Rich, Tom Bosworth and Sikhalo from Activate the Burners react to day three at the Alexander Stadium. In the stadium that’s helped shape him as one of the best 400m in the world, Wolverhampton’s Matt Hudson-Smith shrugged off having a stand named after him and the expectation of a home crowd o win a third European gold in Birmingham.

Rich is joined once again by Commonwealth silver medallist Tom Bosworth and Sikhalo from Activate the Burners to look back at day two - and Hannah makes a brief appearance to analyse the 5000m, won by Nadia Battocletti, despite doubts over her fitness.

Romell Glave won the 100m ahead of British team-mate Jeremiah Azu, as Marcell Jacobs pulled up - while Nadine Visser claimed her first outdoor medal with a tight victory in the 100m hurdles, Miltiadis Tentoglou cemented his status as a modern day great in the long jump, and Bence Halasz threw a Hungarian record to win hammer gold.
