41. learning to love the start of your actual life
In this episode Nafisa reflects on a phrase her teacher said“We need to learn to love death, It’s the beginning of the actual life”For the believer one has to remember that death is the start of actual life! The whole episode is filled with many reflections of how we view death, why we might view it the way we view it and maybe a better way to look at it!* Notes to self:For the believer one has to remember that death is the start of actual life!So you have to get it right here , take with you the deeds that Allah will have mercy on you and grant you the best of the ACTUAL lifeSacrifice for Him swt and prepare for a life where the currency before you are given an eternal home is in the actions you took in this test of a life. You will get what you strive for. So oh servant of her merciful lord, look at your life , look at your calendar, look at your habits , look at the day to day activities you take on in this test of a life, are you striving for a good eternal home or the opposite? Are you filling your books with good actions or the opposite? Will you be happy to start your actual life today? Your eternal life? For a believer ( may Allah make us of them), an eternity of happiness, eternal peace, eternal love, eternal happiness, oh Allahumma inna nas alukal jannah wa ma qarraba ilaiha min kawlin wa amal Allah we ask you jannah and what brings us nearer to it of speech and actionsWa na uthu bika minan naar wa qarraba ilaiha min qaulin wa amalAnd we seek refuge in you from hell and what brings us nearer to it of speech and actionREFERENCES-Verse from surah an najm that gives her a reality checkوَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ ٣٩And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39Death doula video I referred to around 11:00Take advantage of 5 before 5 reference:Your youth before your old ageYour health before your sicknessYour wealth before your povertyYour free time before your busynessYour life before your deathhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDwc7NBGA6MInstagram

40. Your opportunity to get it right
Do you know what month we’re in? 🤭Do you know the Islamic months? Welll we’re actually in a sacred month! Dhul Q’idah! In this episode Nafisa shares what she’s learnt about sacred months, how we can use this month as a time to actualize the better versions of ourselves we wanted to see right after Ramadan. Having had a dip in shawwal , where our bodies even physically could not do what we did in Ramadan, we rested and recharged and what better motivation than a sacred month where good deeds are amplified to make the most of and become the better versions of ourselves!!!🤗🥹Alhamdullilah! Listen to the episode for all the reflections May Allah allow for you and I to make the most out of these sacred months!(*****IMPORTANT POINT TO NOTE , Allah can choose to forgive one but in their record the sin is still there but it’s also written that Allah has forgiven it, then there’s a next level that Allah decides that the sin be wiped out from the record completely and then there’s next level could be that if Allah wills he makes that the sin is infact turned into a good deed)————————————————————————————“So there are four sacred months, Dhul-Qadah, which means the month to sit. You sit back, you do not fight, you do not engage in any type of warfare.Dhul-Hijjah is the month in which Hajj is, so there used to be a reiteration of Hajj in the Islamic Days. There is Muharram, which means forbidden. It is the beginning of the year, so it's forbidden. And then there's the month of Rajab, which is the only month that is not in succession, that does not come in succession. And Rajab means to remove and refrain. So you would remove your weapons, and refrain from fighting somewhere in the middle of the year.”-Yaqeen YouTube and newsletter on dhul hijja and the sacred monthsImam Tom’s Atomic Habits seriesQuran 9:36 - verse about the twelve months written in Allahs Record from the day he created the heavens and the earth, of them four are sacred.

39. cut people some slack- be the ease amidst their hardships
The same way you go through things that no one knows about not even the people that are constantly with you or around youAnd someone’s hard on you & you think to yourself“you have no idea what I’m going through”“Be a little kinder”“Does it hurt to say things in a nicer calmer way”The SAME WAY you go through those things, everyone goes through it too sometimessoo…The next time someone says something harsh or their mood is off, say astaghfirullah remind yourself that they are human too and let it go.-> soo many verses in the Quran speak about making room for one another, tending to people’s emotions & being of those who pardon others.- my journal entryListen to the whole episode to listen to when the Prophet peace be upon him also had pain that was unspoken. And Allah acknowledged it 🥹 and responded to him🤍And reflections on trying to be “the ease” in eachother’s lives rather than adding to each others’ hardships🤍
