Emergency episode! With the proposed industrial action only a week away, we are joined by INTO Assistant General Secretary Máirín Ní Chéileachair to break down exactly what this means for teachers, parents, schools and other education professionals.

Máirín Ní Chéileachair is the Director of Education, Equality, Research and Learning at the INTO. She explains the reasons behind the industrial action and exactly how we got to where we are today. She explains what Stage 1 involves, beginning on 5th October, and what activities it does and does not include. As well as the cost of living crisis facing Irish teachers, we discuss the difficulties facing education today, including infrastructure problems, class sizes, and rising needs within schools. Máirín answers our questions to help teachers through the coming weeks of uncertainty.

Irish With Mollie is back! Mollie Guidera rejoins Jane and Hugh to help teachers and parents start the year strong with Irish.
Mollie (@irishwithmollie) is an Irish teacher, author, and the most positive person you can meet when it comes to Gaeilge.
We brought Mollie back on to help us break down what teachers can do to get off on the right foot with Gaeilge. We all know that there can be fear and pressure felt around the Irish language, and Mollie is full of practical advice - we discuss the games that can be played in Irish, the opportunities for exploring Irish history and folklore, and relating the language to the students' lives. Irish doesn't have to be hard, so let's support the children in our care to learn this beautiful language in a fun and inspirational way.
