Adrienne Nolan-Smith: Patient Advocacy in a Broken System
09/12/2025 | 48 mins.
Adrienne Nolan-Smith received her BA from Johns Hopkins University, her MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University, and then spent three years working in hospitals helping to build programs for folks suffering from chronic disease. She became a board-certified patient advocate with a focus on holistic health and healing and went on to found WellBe, where she now puts all that knowledge, passion, and advocacy to work for people struggling to heal from complex, chronic mystery illnesses. In fact that’s how Adrienne and I met, back in 2020, when she reached out to me on behalf of several of her clients who were looking for a doctor with an integrative, functional medicine background. She is also the host of the GetWellBe Podcast and YouTube Show and shares her research with her community through articles, newsletters, and social media. ***************************************************************************************➢ Learn more about WellBe and find Adrienne’s programs: https://getwellbe.com/➢ Gain Access to the Non-Toxic Product Database: https://getwellbe.com/non-toxic-product-list/➢ Listen to the GetWellBe Podcast: https://www.youtube.com/@getwellbe/videosIf you’d like to be the first to hear about new podcast episodes, sign up for our newsletter. William Delgado: "Selling Hope" & Finding Resilience | The Healing Grove Podcast
20/10/2025 | 41 mins.
William's Story:Born in the Bronx, graduated from the high school of music and art in New York. My mother moved us to PR soon after, and I ran away back to the United States to live with my father. I landed in Allentown, PA back in 1979. I married the streets with no family around me. I was thrown out in the streets by my stepmother. I learned the streets and became a drug dealer. For 25 years I dedicated my life to this lifestyle. My life was out of control and I had caused so much damage in all my relationships. In 2008 I lost everything and was on the verge of suicide. I landed in Florida for this season. I voluntarily admitted myself to a program called Teen Challenge for one year. Here is where my life turned around. I stood rooted in Florida for 12 years. Coming back To Allentown in 2019 was a mission of redemption. I am now a Community Health Worker for LVHN. Giving back to community what I took. Relationships that were built on a nightmare foundation were the same relationships I am being part of rebuilding today. Going through the process of healing from suicide, rejection, mental illness, drug addiction of 25 years (now clean for 17 years) divorce, self hatred, and loss of my true identity. Today I have purpose with clarity of who I am. Helping others as I journey the new life that I have been given is the best reward.***************************************************************************************If you’d like to be the first to hear about new podcast episodes, sign up for our newsletter.
