The last session at the Strawberry Fields Fiesta allowed participants to listen to inspiring songs and ask David Hoffmeister several questions. Some were related to last night's movie session, while others were more personal, related to their path with A Course in Miracles. Guidance was a recurring theme, particularly in how it could help us unwind from self-concepts and from the past. As Jesus teaches, only the Holy Spirit knows the path to forgiveness.

The participants shared that doubt, negative thoughts, and feelings of self-deprecation often seem to hold them back, and asked how guidance could help them avoid ego concerns. David shared that the guidance's main goal is to lead us to the present moment, which does not always take the form we expect. If we decide on the form, we lose track of the purpose.

As David stressed, our purpose is to reach the present moment, the closest approximation of Heaven we can have in this world. All that is required from us is willingness. If we are flexible enough to be guided, all doubts about survival, communication, shadow figures, and whatnot will gently fade away, creating space to acknowledge that we have never left God.

For the last movie session of the 2026 Strawberry Fields Fiesta, David Hoffmeister was guided to show Francis Xu's favorite animated movie. This movie is a masterpiece in showing how the ego works and how to forgive it by avoiding private thoughts and people-pleasing. In a way, the ego is a secluded tower that conceals our true self. It will only see the light when we take our private thoughts out of this tower and let them go.

In Heaven, nothing is hidden because we are only One. Yet, we are imprisoned in a meaningless world created by our meaningless thoughts. All of them are attack thoughts because God did not create them. As Jesus teaches us, we can escape the (meaningless) world we see by giving up attack thoughts. That's what we see the main character do in her journey to return to her true home, running away from the one the ego convinced her to hide herself in.

Throughout this journey, she encounters shadow figures that project various fragments of the past, offering the mind a divine opportunity for forgiveness. Whether these characters appear benevolent or menacing, they represent two sides of a single illusion: the belief that we are separate from our Creator. By releasing this judgment, she finds her way back to her true home. As this masterpiece illustrates, the same path of forgiveness awaits us all.

This panel discussion, featuring David, Marina, Urpi, Helena, and Jason, is dedicated to exploring the intersection of relationships and Divine Providence through the sharing of personal parables.
During the session, David Hoffmeister shares insights on a movie where "specialness" is compared to "crazy glue"—the very substance the main character tries to save the world from. In this context, specialness acts as the bond that holds together the concepts, maintaining our perceived separation from God.

When we talk about these relationships, what really matters is love. However, people often relate love to a way of surviving, which equates it to a mere tool; they also relate it to dependency, identity, possession, and several other ideas. Jesus teaches us that none of these associations are real because there is no love but God’s. All attempts to associate love with the world we see will fail because true love does not involve lack or limitations of any sort.

In this light, forgiveness is our way toward what love truly is. In that sense, relationships serve as mirrors to show us what needs to be forgiven, while Guidance is what helps us reach our purpose. Ultimately, Divine Providence is the practice of accepting what is and recognizing the holiness of the Present Moment.

This gathering has two parts. In the second part of the session, David Hoffmeister invites participants into his hot chair for a deep discussion. In the first part, Jason Warwick conducts Levels of Mind sessions on love and peace, showing how the mind confuses them with fear and struggle. He emphasized that fears about relationships and perceived mistakes are rooted in the past; they lose their power once you acknowledge that they come from your own mind. 

Projection determines perception, meaning you see what you believe in. If you believe you need to work hard to make a living, that's what you get. If you believe someone you love is suffering, you suffer as well, even if you are not directly involved. Offer them peace and love because what you give is what you receive. As Jesus reinforces over and over in the Course, that"s because we are only One, but realizing that takes mind training and willingness. If you open yourself to them, that"s what this session can offer you.

The first Strawberry Field Fiesta's movie session at La Casa de Milagros used the example of an innocent character to show us how to join and communicate in the truest sense of the word. This story helped David demonstrate how not having an agenda opens the way for the Holy Spirit to point us the way back home. If you have defined objectives in any situation, the "get mechanism" is active, meaning that the ego is in charge.

Each decision of the wrong mind projects as something from time and space. Thankfully, Jesus teaches us that there is an alternative to the ego. That's the present moment, which we can only find by forgiving all concepts, all expectations, and material goals. Let go of everything you think you think and everything you think you know so that you really allow the Holy Spirit to decide for God for you (and for all of us). This movie session helps us get there.
