I'm doing an update on one of our most popular episodes called "How to Quit Drinking." In today's episode, I want to provide some tangible tips for quitting alcohol and living a sober life. I also open up about my journey to getting sober & how I finally decided to do it.I hope you enjoy the episode, and as always, please feel free to join our Facebook support group linked below:https://www.facebook.com/share/g/12Hx3jCT4Sk/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Simplifying Sobriety | mentality shifts for success in sobriety
I'm hoping that these 4 mentality shifts can help you think of sobriety in a simpler way. My favorite one: all we have to do to stay sober is NOT drink... we don't have to DO anything! Simple right? Obviously an alcohol-free life comes with its struggles, but I hope that this helps you reframe the concept.Facebook Support Group: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/12Hx3jCT4Sk/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Digestion | We need to talk about poo...
If you’re squeamish, maybe skip this one -we’re diving into the very NOT glamorous side of having a drinking problem: digestive issues. My gut was a mess when I drank, and “food poisoning” was basically a weekly event. But after quitting, it healed almost instantly, and now when something’s off, I actually know what it is because alcohol isn’t muddying the waters. Digestive peace is honestly such a blessing, and it feels like I've cracked the code to life.

1 year sober | celebrating 365 days alcohol-free :)
Celebrating a different kind of birthday today: One year alcohol-free! And I couldn’t be more proud of myself. It’s actually shocking to look back over the last year and think about all that has changed in my life. I feel like a completely different person, both physically and emotionally. Letting go of one thing has given me everything, and I’m so grateful that one random Thursday in 2024, I decided to kick a substance that was no longer serving me. Here’s to many more sober-versaries. Thank YOU for listening and being a part of this community :)

The Pink Cloud | a feeling of euphoria in early sobriety
I remember feeling so incredibly elated in the beginning of sobriety -almost like I was experiencing a high. It was such an unexpected rush that I actually Googled it to see if it was normal. And, of course (because apparently none of us have an original experience), it was totally normal, and it even had a name: The Pink Cloud.Let’s talk about it.Join our FB Support Group: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1HTJHUnkJB/
