If you ever find yourself thinking that you never have enough time, that you're always behind, or like your days are happening to you, this episode is for you. We all make choices about how we spend our time. From the big decisions like choosing to work instead of stay home, to the little ones like staying up late to watch a show or scroll our phone instead of getting sleep, these choices influence how much time we have. In this episode, I am teaching you how to notice the choices you make about how you spend your time so that you can make those choices intentionally. When you are aware of your choices, you can either choose to own them or choose to change them. We all have the same amount of time, but we can choose what's important to us and how we spend it. 28 - How Tracking Your Time Helps You Find More of It
Do you really know where all your time is going? We think we have a good idea - work, childcare, chores, errands, appointments, sleep, etc. But when you're trying to find time for the things that are most important to you, you need more than just "a good idea". You need data. Time tracking is one of the most valuable tools that we have to truly understand our time and how we choose to use it. Time tracking helps you identify patterns, confront assumptions, and ultimately make meaningful changes that could get you time back in your days. In this episode, I'm sharing how to start your own time tracking exercise, including the tool that I use and love for collecting my own data. And if you want to have your time tracking log personally reviewed by me for feedback and ideas, that's the first things we're doing in my group coaching program for working moms - Beyond Balance. We're starting in just a couple of weeks and spots are limited. You can learn more and apply to be considered for the group at www.themothernurture.com/interest. 26 - The Unexpected Power of Saying Less
Listen to these powerful client stories of how intentionally saying less has made all the difference in parenting, in leadership, and in difficult conversations about boundaries and priorities. We live in a busy and noisy world, especially as parents, with little time to pause and embrace the silence. But when we do, we can hear so much more. We can hear what our kids really need. We can hear what's actually the problem at work. And we can hear our own thoughts about what is actually important. After you finish this episode, I challenge you to practice pausing, embracing the silence, and saying yes and tell me that you don't feel a difference in how you connect to those around you and to yourself as a working mom.
