Naval Ravikant: Thanks for having me, Shane. I’m a huge fan of your
work.
Shane Parrish: Thank you. I’m a big fan of yours as well. I want to start with a tough question. How would you define wisdom?
Naval Ravikant: I’d say wisdom is knowing the long-term consequences of your actions. And then, on a more subtle level, wisdom is knowing what you don’t know. The more you know, the less you believe you know. Socrates was the wisest man of his time because he knew he knew nothing. It’s the beginning of wisdom, that realization.

标题：Gen Z Arriving at College Unable to Read

"It's not even an inability to critically think. It's an inability to read sentences."

正文：As the final waves of Gen Z make their way through high school and into
colleges, higher education instructors are noticing a severe lack of reading
comprehension skills. For many of these students, the issue goes beyond a
struggle with critical thinking; it is a fundamental inability to read complex
sentences. Consequently, colleges are finding themselves with little choice but
to drastically lower their expectations or alter their academic benchmarks to
accommodate a generation increasingly detached from the written word.

正文： "Is every man in America somewhere on it?" Nora Ephron wondered about the autism spectrum in an e-mail to a friend a few months before her death. "Is every producer on it? Is every 8-year-old boy who is obsessed with statistics on it? Sometimes, when we say someone is on the spectrum, do we just mean he's a prick? Or a pathological narcissist? I notice that at least three times a week I am told (or I tell someone) that some man or other is on the spectrum."

正文： As Chinese households prepare for winter meals and festive gatherings, fresh produce remains abundant and affordable in supermarkets and neighborhood vegetable stalls across the country. This scene stands in stark contrast to many parts of the world, where inflation, supply disruptions, and climate-related shocks continue to fuel anxiety over daily necessities. In China,however, such worries have largely receded from public life—particularly during peak consumption seasons. Behind this calmness lies not coincidence,but long-term institutional arrangements. China’s “vegetable basket” project, launched in 1988, has evolved into a comprehensive system covering production, circulation,reserves, and emergency coordination, becoming a key pillar of food security and an important guarantee of people’s livelihoods.
