In 1968, nine men set out to do something no one had ever done before: sail alone, nonstop, around the world. What followed became one of the strangest and most chaotic races in sailing history.

It was a group of wildly different men who faced brutal weather, failing boats, isolation, obsession, deception, and decisions that would follow them long after the race ended.

In 1995, Swedish climber Göran Kropp loaded 200 pounds of gear into a bike trailer and started pedalling from Sweden toward Nepal. His plan was to ride to Everest, climb it alone without bottled oxygen, and ride home.
