  • Episode 277: She Lost Her Husband at 51–Here’s How Alisa Cooper Alchemized Her Grief
When Alisa Cooper lost her husband unexpectedly on a dream trip abroad, her entire world cracked open.  In this powerful episode, Alisa shares how she transformed unimaginable grief into the catalyst for becoming the most alive, aligned, and authentic version of herself. I first met her at a retreat in Brazil, and from that very first conversation, I knew I was in the presence of someone deeply wise. Alisa hasn’t let this tragedy dominate her life. At the heart of her healing is a process she created for herself, called Cocoon to Butterfly, a 9 stage grief-to-freedom journey that helps others alchemize loss into self-love, purpose, and true inner peace. If you’re navigating the loss of a loved one, grieving a version of yourself, or craving deeper meaning in your life, this episode will stir something in your soul. It’s about remembering who you are, reclaiming your light, and rising! I’m also so honored to be a speaker at Alisa’s Cocoon to Butterfly: The Live Experience at the end of June in Tacoma, Washington. If you’re feeling moved to come, don’t second-guess it – just get yourself there! It’s going to be such a special experience. Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussions of grief, loss, and the death of a spouse.   IN THIS EPISODE: Alisa’s love story with her husband, from summer teenage romance to going their separate ways – and then coming back together as adults How losing her husband led to alchemizing grief into a vibrant, purpose-driven life, and sparked the creation of a transformational movement The mystical experience Alisa had communicating with her late husband, including the telepathic moments and healing messages she received Breaking down grief as fuel for ascension, and why embracing your darkest pain is the gateway to discovering your authentic self  The “Cocoon to Butterfly” stages that turn heartbreak into a catalyst for freedom, growth, and self-love (and check out the live experience this June!)   LINKS/RESOURCES MENTIONED The Cocoon to Butterfly: The Live Experience is happening June 28-29 in Tacoma, Washington. • Episode 275: What 2.5 Years of Trying to Conceive Taught Me: 8 Raw and Divine Lessons I Wish I Knew Sooner Part 2
This is the second installment of a two-part episode detailing the deeply personal and divine lessons I’ve learned since my husband and I started trying to conceive.  In Part 1, I laid the groundwork of our story, including how it began and why we moved away from conventional medicine to a more holistic approach. In Part 2 of this vulnerable two-part series, I’m sharing the next layer of raw and divine wisdom I’ve uncovered through 2.5 years of trying to conceive. From the outside, it may look like a fertility story… but at its core, it’s about self-worth, intuition, healing, and radically redefining what it means to care for yourself. Over the past 2.5 years, we’ve done it all: from medical testing and major dietary changes to detox protocols, sauna therapy, and even switching the kind of water we drink. At one point, we were actually drinking psyllium husk everyday. It was disgusting.  We have invested so much money, time, and energy into our dreams to become parents. And at times, it’s easy to wonder: is this actually going to work? Do I even deserve to care for myself in such a fundamental way?  Of course, the goal is to have a baby. But it’s not allll about the baby. It’s also about reclaiming self-worth, loving ourselves, and honoring our health on a cellular level, because there is no better investment.  Thank you so much for the love you shared after last week’s episode. It made my day hearing from you. I hope today’s conversation speaks to you and lifts you up just as much.   IN THIS EPISODE: Why healing rituals aren’t a chore—they’re an act of devotion How I’m using hypnosis to unearth subconscious and generational patterns, including inherited beliefs and family trauma The real (and rocky) impact this journey had on our intimacy and marriage The importance of the kind of language we use and who we surround ourselves with when en route to our goals Why investing in my health has challenged everything I thought I knew about money, self-worth, and what it means to fundamentally take care of myself   If you're on your own journey to conceive—or navigating any season of deep personal transformation—this episode will crack your heart open in the most healing way.   LINKS/RESOURCES MENTIONED Tune in to Episode 274 for Part 1 of this conversation. • Episode 274: What My 2.5 Year Fertility Journey Has Taught Me: 8 Raw and Divine Lessons I Wish I Knew Sooner Part 1
Today’s episode is deeply vulnerable for me and one of the most personal I’ve ever recorded: I’m unpacking everything I’ve learned so far on my 2.5 year fertility journey. I’ll admit I’ve been guarded about this experience. It’s a topic people often have judgement about – but I feel called to share. This conversation isn’t just about labs, lifestyle changes, or protocols (though I share all of that too). My biggest takeaway? The mindset, hope, and deep healing I’ve found in the process. I never want to look back at this period in my life and just see pain, frustration, or confusion. Joy isn’t at the finish line: it’s in the detours, the upgrades, and the protein-rich breakfasts I eat now that I never used to enjoy! Joy is in becoming the healthiest version of myself I’ve ever been. Please send the positive vibes, and I hope this episode encourages you to cultivate joy and purpose in your life, even in the midst of big challenges.    IN THIS EPISODE: Why I refuse to call myself "infertile" and how language and identity can shape our experiences of struggle The differences between conventional and alternative fertility care approaches (and why the system can be so frustrating) How environmental toxins affect fertility and the changes I’ve made to what I consume, as an act of self-love Harnessing spiritual connection and faith in this journey and why hope and deep trust in timing have been essential   LINKS/RESOURCES MENTIONED My book is available in hardcover, Kindle, and as an audiobook. • Episode 273: BEST OF EUPHORIC: Expand Your Capacity to Feel Good, Stop Self-Sabotaging, and Create the Healthiest Relationship Ever with Gay and Katie Hendricks
Why do we hit invisible ceilings in our happiness, love, and success? This is the "upper limit problem," and it's sneakier than you might think… often leading us to self-sabotage, just when things are starting to look up. Today’s guests, Gay and Katie Hendricks, are literally my idols. Experts on all things personal growth and relationships, they have trained thousands of coaches, authored more than 40 books, and have even appeared on Oprah. It’s time to peel back the layers of upper limits and smash our own glass ceilings. When we fear we’re shining too bright, we’re dimming our zone of genius. This problem can also seep into our relationships – impacting our personal growth AND our happiness. I have experienced the upper limit problem personally and with my clients. Hear how I had one of the worst weeks ever following the excitement of my 6-figure book deal. Why is this phenomenon even happening to us? Don’t miss the key insights from Gay and Katie on “conscious loving” to build healthy, dynamic relationships, and how to unlearn the unconscious patterns we repeatedly fall into.    IN THIS EPISODE: What is an upper limit? And the evolutionary reasons why people often can’t handle long periods of time where things go well How to unearth your genius by revisiting your childhood: what did you love to do? How did time used to disappear? The limiting beliefs that can crimp your genius – for example, that you’re fundamentally flawed in some way How Gay and Katie met, a glimpse into the roots of their love story, and the theory behind “conscious loving”, to increase the energy you have together The #1 relationship killer and the three BIG emotions you need to get good at in order to solve problems Using body sensations to develop your emotional intelligence   LINKS/RESOURCES MENTIONED Read some of my all-time favorite books by Gay and Katie Hendricks, including The Big Leap and Conscious Loving, and learn about the Hendricks Institute. On their website, you can also find their content about befriending fear. My book is available in hardcover, Kindle, and as an audiobook.
