  • "The Smashing Machine," "The Lost Bus," "Steve"
Leitch is about to turn a big round number, so there's no show next week, sorry: Lots of moving parts in Athens. But we've got three big movies to discuss before we leave you for a fortnight. First off, it's Benny Safdie's '90s UFC story "The Smashing Machine," with The Rock. Then, Paul Greengrass returns with the Apple TV Matthew McConaughey movie "The Lost Bus." And we close with the Cillian Murphy Netflix movie "Steve." Thanks to Dylan Mayer and My Friend Mary, both of which are wonderful, for the music. We hope you enjoy.  Let us know what you think @griersonleitch on Twitter, or [email protected]. As always, give us a review on iTunes with the name of a movie you'd like us to review, and we'll discuss it on a later podcast.

  • "One Battle After Another," "The Limey"
This is the movie a lot of us have been waiting for: It's Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another." We dig in deep on this one. To say the least.  We also have a Reboot, in honor of the late Terence Stamp, it's Steven Soderbergh's "The Limey." Thanks to Dylan Mayer and My Friend Mary, both of which are wonderful, for the music. We hope you enjoy.  Let us know what you think @griersonleitch on Twitter, or [email protected]. • "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey," "Him," "Predators"
The big fall movie season is JUST about to start -- the Paul Thomas Anderson movie next week is probably the unofficial start -- but we've got three movies to get through before it does. First, it's the romantic comedy "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey." Then it's the football horror movie "Him." And we close with the fascinating documentary "Predators," about the early aughts phenomenon "To Catch a Predator." Also, if you live in Atlanta and are going to Wednesday's "One Battle After Another" screening at the Plaza, email us at [email protected]. Leitch needs some help!
