  • 2025 Venice and Toronto Film Festival Previews, "Paris, Texas"
Grierson is about to head to Venice and Toronto for nearly a month, so we preview both film festivals, and really the entire fall season, before he takes off. Then we have a classic reboot, Wim Wenders' "Paris, Texas." And we'll do a short fill-in show before Grierson returns, don't worry. Hi. Thanks to Dylan Mayer and My Friend Mary, both of which are wonderful, for the music. We hope you enjoy.  Let us know what you think @griersonleitch on Twitter, or [email protected]. As always, give us a review on iTunes with the name of a movie you'd like us to review, and we'll discuss it on a later podcast.

  • "Highest 2 Lowest," "Nobody 2," "Wonder Boys"
There's a new Spike Lee movie! That's always a big deal in Grierson & Leitch land, so we dig into Lee's newest, starring Denzel Washington, "Highest 2 Lowest." We also discuss the Bob Odenkirk action sequel "Nobody 2."  Then, in our Reboot segment, we go all the way back to the year 2000 for Curtis Hanson's "Wonder Boys."  Thanks to Dylan Mayer and My Friend Mary, both of which are wonderful, for the music. We hope you enjoy.  Let us know what you think @griersonleitch on Twitter, or [email protected]. • "Weapons," "The Naked Gun," "Together"
We took a week off while Will was either in Virginia or Tennessee, he's still not sure which, but we're back with a vengeance with three big ones this week. First, it's Zach Cregger's follow-up to "Barbarian," the ambitious "Weapons." Then we get to two movies we missed the week before: "The Naked Gun" and "Together." And there was so much to discuss with "Weapons" that, at the end of the show, we actually have a spoilers discussion. So beware! Thanks to Dylan Mayer and My Friend Mary, both of which are wonderful, for the music. We hope you enjoy.  Let us know what you think @griersonleitch on Twitter, or [email protected]. • "The Fantastic Four: First Steps," "Happy Gilmore 2," "Tampopo"
Two movies, one a big Marvel movie theater movie, one a legacy comedy sequel from ... one of our last movie stars left? First, Will and Tim discuss "The Fantastic Four: First Steps." Then! It has been 29 years since the last "Happy Gilmore" movie: What do we think of "Happy Gilmore 2?" Then, in our Reboot section, we eat up the delectable "Tampopo." Thanks to Dylan Mayer and My Friend Mary, both of which are wonderful, for the music. We hope you enjoy.  Let us know what you think @griersonleitch on Twitter, or [email protected]. • "Eddington," "Sorry, Baby," "The Muppet Movie"
So, Ari Aster has a new movie out, about Covid. You ready for that? We discuss "Eddington." Also, even though it has been out for a while, we never got around to Eva Victor's "Sorry, Baby," so we hit that. And then! A Reboot of 1979's "The Muppet Movie." Muppets! Thanks to Dylan Mayer and My Friend Mary, both of which are wonderful, for the music. We hope you enjoy.  Let us know what you think @griersonleitch on Twitter, or [email protected].
