Omg Tarot! A Podcast About Reading Tarot Cards

One of the most common questions people ask me is "How did you get into reading tarot?"

So I tell them. But my story is uniquely mine...and your tarot story is uniquely yours. In this episode, seven tarot readers shared their stories of how they got into reading. Some are relatively new readers, others have been doing it for decades. Despite these differences, you'll notice a few themes come up again and again: curiosity, community, and putting your skepticism to the test. Listen now to hear how we all came to working with the tarot.

Yes, it's a long title, but that's because there's a ton of amazing insights in this episode! I sat down with Lily Martin, a psychic medium, tarot card reader, and salt reader to discuss our wide range of experiences with tarot, the clairs (clairvoyance, claircognizance, clairaudience, etc), and working with people who come to us seeking insight and answers.

Get an insider's look at life as the intuitive connecting the living and the dead. You might find yourself nodding along, recognizing the experiences Lily discusses. And yes, you read that right earlier...Lily does salt readings. Listen and learn more about this unique form of divination (and how you can find the forms that resonate best with you).

In your tarot deck, the backgrounds matter. Where are the figures? How are they engaging with their environments?

...Are they on stage, performing a play?

There's some compelling evidence to support that last point, at least for certain cards. But with every card in the deck, you're looking at a full picture with a horizon line, details, a foreground and a background, and the entire story these details come together to tell. How closely are you reading these parts of the deck?

Pathworking is a fantastic tool for visualizing our world and the symbols you encounter within it. As you might imagine, it's also a powerful way to explore your tarot deck.

In this episode, I sit down with Niko Contouris, tarot reader, pathworker, author and tour guide, to chat about his experiences with exploring the tarot this way. We also get into the Thoth tarot a bit, since I've just started working with this deck and it's Niko's daily driver. If you're considering picking up the Thoth tarot, be prepared to think differently about the cards! I know it's changed how I read, and I'm not the only reader who's experienced this.

In my experience, tarot is best when it's enjoyed with friends. Today's guest, tarot reader and teacher Stefanie Wittmaak, has had the same experience...and as a fellow Scorpio Rising, an eerily similar tarot journey 😲

Listen now to learn more about our experiences starting tarot clubs, teaching tarot courses, and more about the things we've encountered in this wide, magickal world.
