Ep 12: Why Women Need to Talk About Vulvas? with Laura Dowling the Fabulous Pharmacist

    15/03/2026 | 1h
In this episode of The Body Talks, I’m joined by pharmacist, educator, founder and author Laura Dowling for a candid, funny and eye-opening conversation about women’s intimate health.
We talk about vulvas, pelvic health, prolapse, vaginal dryness, perimenopause, shame, pleasure, pubic hair, p0rn, ADHD, social media, and why so many women are still not taught how their own bodies work.
Laura shares what she’s learned from over 20 years in pharmacy, from building a powerful women’s health platform, and from listening to the questions women are often too embarrassed to ask out loud.
This episode is for anyone who wants to understand their body better, challenge shame, and feel less alone.

Ep11: Joy Lives in the Body - Motherhood Cancer Survival and Embodied Truth with Ami Yeasmin

    02/02/2026 | 58 mins.
In this episode of The Body Talks I’m joined by Ami Yeasmin - a joy-led creator, mother and cancer survivor whose body wisdom speaks before the mind does.
We met at the sold-out show by Sophie Tea at the London Palladium where we both strutted painted and proud of our bodies. That shared moment of visibility, courage and celebration sits at the heart of this conversation.
We begin with an embodied practice and as always something unexpected emerges. Ami’s body brings forward her hands: a part she did not prepare to speak about yet one that reveals a whole life story of illness resilience creativity and care. It’s a powerful reminder that the body holds truth long before we intellectualise it.
We talk about joy not as positivity but as something that can live alongside grief. About motherhood and raising children with freedom rather than ownership. About surviving cancer and how Ami brought joy and connection to fellow patients even in hospital. About dancing as medicine and the courage to stay open to life.
This episode is for anyone curious about listening to their body more deeply and for anyone who needs permission to hold joy and pain at the same time.

Ep 9: Louis Rubi - Dressing Beyond Gender, Shape, and Shame

    15/12/2025 | 46 mins.
Recorded in Paris from inside Louis Rubi’s working room, this episode is a fashion wake up call.
Louis is the founder of LR3, a designer quietly rewriting the rules of fit - not through “inclusive sizing” as a badge but by refusing the whole system. His clothes are built around volumes not sizes and the result is something most people have never felt in a fitting room: freedom.
We talk about why the industry makes so many of us feel wrong in the mirror and what happens when garments are designed to move with real bodies instead of being scaled from one narrow template. Louis shares the moment a client told him they could not buy clothes anywhere in Paris and the sentence Louis replied with that flips the whole shopping experience on its head.
This one is about clothes, yes, but it’s really about identity, energy, and permission - dressing beyond gender, shape, and shame.
    In this episode
Why LR3 has no sizes and what “volumes” actually means

What freedom looks like in a mirror - when the “kid comes out” and people dance, cry, and play

“All of it will go on. Then it’s your decision if you feel good in it.”

The emotional truth of style - “If I feel good then and only then I’m going to look good.”

A rapid-fire moment where Louis basically breaks down the fashion industry in five minutes

A short breath practice together to drop into the body before we begin

Ep 8: What Fashion Gets Wrong… and How to Fix It - Inclusive Sizing, Colour and Joy with Sara Brown

    24/11/2025 | 55 mins.
In this episode of The Body Talks I sit down with designer, consultant and plus size fashion advocate Sara Brown to explore the reality of inclusive sizing today and how the industry can finally do better.
We begin with a grounding breath and a gentle body check in, then move into a conversation about clothes, queerness, softness and the joy of expressing yourself in a world that still tries to shrink certain bodies into silence.
Sara shares her journey from being a size 16 teenager unable to buy anything in high street shops, to designing for major brands, to consulting for companies who genuinely want to expand their size ranges in a thoughtful way.
Together we look at the current landscape of plus size fashion
why representation on runways is going backwards (with a nod to Including The Curve and Felicity Hayward’s vital trend reports)

why beloved inclusive brands are closing

where companies are still missing the mark

and the designers and labels who are leading the way, including Lucy & Yak, Sinéad O’Dwyer, If Only If and Unhidden: powerful examples of what it looks like when inclusivity and accessibility are built into the design process rather than added on afterwards

Sara speaks honestly about what inclusive design really requires: proper grading, fit testing on real bodies, colour without shame, and clothing that is not simply scaled up but intentionally created with bigger bodies in mind.
    We also talk about
    • internalised fatphobia and the part of you that still knows you are valuable
    • how colour becomes a quiet act of activism for bigger bodies
    • late queerness, silly joy and finding your people
    • why plus size customers are some of the most loyal when they feel seen
    • Sara's work with Lucy & Yak, If Only If and more
    • fashion, identity and the power of being soft
We close with a final breathing practice and an invitation from Sara’s body to soften.
