Why Hiring More People Hasn't Made You Less Busy: How to Leverage Your Team So the Business Grows Without You

    15/09/2026 | 25 mins.
This episode is for you if you've hired people, delegated work, and done what everyone told you to do... but somehow, you're still just as busy.

Maybe you're no longer doing every task yourself, but now you're answering questions all day, reviewing everyone's work, fixing what isn't quite right, and carrying the responsibility for making sure everything gets done.

Everything still seems to boomerang back to you.

And there's probably a part of you wondering, "Wouldn't it just be faster if I did this myself?"

I understand. I've been there too.

But here's what I want you to see: you may have delegated the tasks without ever truly delegating the responsibility.

In this episode, we're going deeper into the very first Leverage Activator of my methodology: Leverage Your Team.

I'm showing you the difference between having helpers and having people who truly own outcomes, why your team may have unintentionally been trained to keep relying on you, and the identity shift that allows you to finally stop being the fixer, rescuer and safety net for everything in your business.

We'll also get very practical about what real team leverage looks like: delegating outcomes instead of tasks, letting your team do things imperfectly, resisting the reflex to answer every question, and teaching capable people to think with you instead of simply execute for you.

A small team you deeply trust will always outperform a bigger team you feel the need to micromanage or coddle. I explain it all and the 3 steps to doing so in this episode. I invite you to take notes.

Because when your people can truly own things without everything coming back to you, that's when you begin to scale, while you get your time, freedom and life back.

    In This Episode:
    • The delegation mindset that keeps you stuck as the bottleneck, even after you've hired help (02:13–04:19)
    • The "open file syndrome" that keeps you as the fixer and safety net after you've supposedly delegated (06:25–07:23)
    • How you may be unintentionally training your team to rely on you for every answer and approval (07:23–08:25)
    • How to delegate outcomes instead of tasks and give your team a clear picture of what "done well" looks like (13:12–15:44)
    • How perfection creates paralysis and why "good enough is good enough" can become a powerful new leadership mantra (18:51–20:35)
    • Why your team should eventually be able to think with you, own their expertise and carry projects from beginning to end (23:34–24:22)
    • Why a small, empowered team you deeply trust can outperform a large team you still need to micromanage (25:06–26:22)
    • One outcome you can completely hand over this week to begin building greater autonomy, ownership and trust (28:26–30:40)

    Inspired Actions:
✨ Notice where you've delegated the doing but are still carrying the responsibility. Ask yourself, "Who actually owns this outcome?"
✨ Look honestly at whether your current team has the ability to own outcomes at the level your next stage of growth requires. The team that helped you reach $500K may not necessarily be the team that takes you to $1 million while working less.

How Rachel Stopped Working Nights & Weekends, Got Out of Client Delivery — and Made More Money

    02/09/2026 | 49 mins.
This episode is for you if your business looks successful from the outside... but behind the scenes, you're exhausted from holding everything together.

Maybe you have a team, but you still feel guilty giving them too much. You say yes to client requests you don't really want to take on. Your evenings and weekends have quietly become work time, and even when you're with the people you love, part of you is still thinking about the business.

If that's you, I want you to meet Rachel Coles.

Rachel is the founder of UK-based full-service agency Convert Marketing. When we first met, her business was growing. But Rachel herself wasn't doing well.
She was working constantly, answering hundreds and hundreds of client WhatsApp messages each day, struggling with scope creep, taking on work that didn't excite her, and putting everyone else's needs ahead of her own. She had a team, yet everything still seemed to flow through her.

Most painfully, the business she'd originally created to give her more time with her son was taking that time away from her.

    Today, so much has changed.

Rachel no longer works weekends. Evenings, if ever she gets to her computer, are a choice, never an obligation. She now has super strong boundaries with clients, trusts her team to own their work fully, has dramatically stepped back from client delivery and operations, and has rediscovered the confidence (and time!) to pursue a passion project on the side that deeply matters to her, including advocating for maternal mental health, speaking to policymakers and writing her first book.

In this conversation, Rachel vulnerably shares what actually created that transformation: boundaries, delegation, understanding each team member's Unique Brilliance, mindset work, accountability and learning to finally believe in herself. Take notes.

Because sometimes the biggest transformation in your business isn't simply what happens to the numbers.

    It's what happens to you.

    In This Episode:
How rapid business growth left Rachel approaching complete burnout despite doing well financially (01:08–03:26)
How people pleasing and a lack of client boundaries created evenings, weekends and constant availability (03:26–07:21)
Why Rachel took on clients and work that weren't aligned with her or her agency (09:23–13:30)
How the belief that she was never "good enough" fueled overworking and over-delivering (13:30–16:37)
What changed when Rachel finally delegated operations instead of waiting until she reached crisis point (16:37–18:06)
Rachel's vision for stepping further into her CEO role while expanding her maternal mental health advocacy (44:06–46:49)
The deeply personal reason Rachel knew something had to change: she wanted to be a present mother to her son (47:10–49:40)

    Inspired Actions:
✨ Notice where people pleasing may be creating unnecessary work, scope creep or resentment in your business.
✨ Look at your client relationships and ask where stronger agreements or boundaries would protect both you and your team.
✨ Ask yourself whether your evenings and weekends belong to you, or whether your business has quietly claimed them.
✨ If you'd like my eyes on your business and a personalized roadmap to scale with more freedom, apply for a complimentary Business Audit at www.boldheart.com/call.

Why Your Business Still Needs You So Much (And How to Fix That)

    11/08/2026 | 32 mins.
This episode is for you if you’ve already hired a team... yet somehow everything still lands back on your plate.

You've delegated. You've brought on good people. You're doing all the "right" things. And yet you're still answering every question, making every decision, and carrying the weight of your business. Taking a few days off feels stressful because you know you'll come back to a mountain of messages that only you can handle.

If that's you, I want you to know something. There is nothing wrong with you.

Your business simply needs you too much.

In this episode, I pull back the curtain on the exact operating framework I've developed over the past 25 years to help women scale from overwhelmed six figures to multiple seven figures with their lives back. I walk you through all eight Leverage Activators in the precise order I teach them inside my signature program within Boldheart, because sequence matters just as much as strategy.

We explore why most entrepreneurs accidentally build businesses that depend entirely on them, how that definitively caps revenue, freedom, and growth, and what it takes to transform your business into one that supports you instead of one you constantly have to hold together.

Because leverage isn't ever, ever, ever about working harder.
It's about designing a business that no longer depends on your bandwidth.
And when you do that, you don't just create more revenue.
    You create more life.

    In This Episode:
Why your business still feels like a one-woman operation, even with a team (02:29–05:04)
The hidden reason your growth, revenue, and freedom have plateaued (05:04–08:26)
Why the order of the 8 Leverage Activators matters (08:26–09:23)
How to leverage your team without hiring more people than you need (09:23–11:26)
Why systems create freedom, not rigidity (11:26–14:14)
How protecting your time becomes possible only after team and systems are in place (14:14–16:47)
Designing a business model that scales beyond your personal bandwidth (16:47–18:37)
Creating leveraged marketing that generates qualified leads even while you're offline (18:37–20:15)
Why shared accountability helps your business grow without carrying everything yourself (20:15–22:15)
How differentiation creates magnetic growth instead of constant competition (22:15–23:21)
Why your lifestyle should be designed around your life—not your business (23:21–26:13)
How to identify the first "broken link" in your business and where to begin (30:08–35:31)

    Inspired Actions:
✨ Ask yourself where your business still depends on you for every decision.
✨ Identify which of the eight Leverage Activators feels weakest in your business today.
✨ Choose one process that currently lives only in your head and document it this week.
✨ Protect one block of CEO time on your calendar to focus on exponential growth instead of reactive work.
✨ Remember that you don't have to fix all eight areas at once. Start with the first broken link.
✨ If you'd like my eyes on your business and a personalized roadmap to seven figures with more freedom, apply for a complimentary Business Audit at www.boldheart.com/call.

You don't need to become more productive. You need to become more leveraged. Because the business of your dreams isn't built by working harder. It's built by creating a business that supports your life, instead of asking you to sacrifice it.

From $300K to $600K in Just 12 Months: How Jenna Potter Doubled Her Photography Business and Took a Month Off

    04/08/2026 | 43 mins.
This episode is for you if you know business you have much more potential within you… but aren't sure how to get there.

You've built a successful business on your own. You're also wearing every hat, working evenings and weekends, and wondering how you'll ever take on bigger opportunities without sacrificing even more of yourself.

If that's you, I want you to meet Jenna Louise Potter.

Just one year ago, Jenna was running a successful portrait photography business in Hong Kong, generating about $300,000 a year as a solo entrepreneur. She had a big vision, but she was doing almost everything herself and wasn't sure how to scale beyond where she was.

Today, after one year inside Boldheart, she has doubled her revenue to $600,000, grown her team from two people to thirteen, stepped fully into her role as CEO, and recently took an entire month off to travel with her family while her business continued to thrive.

In this conversation, Jenna shares the mindset shifts, systems, and leadership decisions that made this transformation possible. We talk about hiring before you feel ready, documenting systems, letting go of control, and why investing in yourself often becomes the turning point that changes everything.

Because sustainable growth isn't about working harder.

It's about becoming the woman who can build a business that no longer depends on her every minute of every day. Yes, that’s you.

    In This Episode:
How Jenna grew from $300,000 to $600,000 in annual revenue in just one year (04:22–07:32)
Why surrounding yourself with women who think bigger changes what's possible (05:42–07:32)
The hiring decision that transformed her business (08:21–11:48)
How focusing on your Unique Brilliance creates exponential growth (11:48–14:27)
Building a team of 13 and learning to let go of perfection (14:27–16:40)
Why documenting systems became the foundation for scale (16:40–20:37)
How getting her time back opened the door to an entirely new business idea (20:37–23:42)
The mindset shift that helped her think beyond six figures (24:14–27:33)
Growing a business across time zones and making Boldheart work from Hong Kong (27:33–31:20)
How she took an entire month off while her business continued running (37:10–40:47)
Jenna's advice for women who are ready to grow but afraid to let go (40:49–43:39)

    Inspired Actions:
✨ Ask yourself what opportunities you're saying no to because you're still trying to do everything yourself.
✨ Identify one task this week that someone else on your team should be doing.
✨ Consider where investing in yourself could create the biggest return over the next twelve months.
✨ Ask yourself whether you're building a business that depends on you, or one that can grow beyond you.
✨ Surround yourself with women who normalize bigger dreams, bigger revenue, and more freedom.
✨ If you're ready to build a business that scales without requiring more of your time, apply for a complimentary Business Audit with me at www.boldheart.com/call.

You don't have to choose between growing your business and living a delicious life.

With the right mindset, the right strategy, systems, and world class support, you really can create both.

And Jenna's story is beautiful proof of what's possible for you too.

How I Built 14 Weeks off Into a 7-Figure Business (You Can Too)

    23/07/2026 | 26 mins.
This episode is for you if you're building a successful business... but you secretly wonder whether you'll ever have the freedom to truly enjoy it.

Maybe your calendar is packed weeks in advance. Every decision still lands on your desk. You dream about taking time off, but even a long weekend totally unplugged from work feels impossible because your business depends on you being available.

If that's you, I want you to know something.

Building a business that gives you freedom isn't something that happens someday after you've worked hard enough.

    It's something you design.

In this episode, I'm taking you behind the scenes of how I intentionally built a minimum of 14 weeks of protected time into my seven-figure business every single year. I share the calendar structure, the team systems, and the mindset shifts that made it possible, along with why this isn't about working less. It's about creating the space that allows your best thinking, your biggest ideas, and your next level of growth to emerge.

Because freedom isn't a reward for building a successful business.

It's one of the systems that makes success sustainable.

When you intentionally protect your time, you don't just create more space in your calendar.

You create more space for your life.

    In This Episode:
Why I intentionally protect at least 14 weeks every year and what that really looks like (00:08–03:17)
Why protected time is a business design decision, not a luxury (03:17–06:07)
What "protected time" actually means beyond taking vacations (06:07–09:30)
Why exponential growth requires spaciousness, not a busier calendar (08:19–09:30)
The first system: designing a business model that supports freedom (09:30–11:25)
The second system: creating team boundaries and operational independence (11:25–14:22)
The mindset shift that helped me stop earning my worth through exhaustion (14:22–17:25)
What happened after I stopped making myself constantly available (17:25–20:36)
Why protecting your calendar creates your biggest breakthroughs (19:30–20:36)
Two practical questions to help you begin creating protected time in your own business (21:38–23:27)

    Inspired Actions:
✨ Look at your calendar for next month and identify one day, or even a few hours, that you can intentionally protect.
✨ Ask yourself what would need to change in your business model for protected time to become part of your normal rhythm.
✨ Consider what decisions your team could confidently make without you if the right systems were in place.
✨ Notice where you may still be equating your worth with constant availability or overwork.
✨ Remember that freedom isn't something you earn after success. It's something you intentionally build into your business.
✨ Go to https://www.boldheart.com/14-weeks-off to join me for the no-charge 3-day event next week called “How to take 14 weeks off from your business every year.” It happens July 28, 29 & 30 · 11am–12pm ET (8–9am PT · 4–5pm GMT · 5–6pm CET)

The business you dream of isn't simply one that earns more. It's one that gives you the freedom to live more fully.

And that kind of freedom begins with one intentional decision at a time.

Would you like to know how women work with me to accomplish this while you scale to 7-figures with their life back?
