The Paranorm Girl

Paranormal investigator, researcher, EVP whisperer and Author Cyn Shrader Hill returns to the show for a conversation about signs from beyond and life after death. Cyn shares the wild story of the time her EVP analysis got pulled into real police business — a woman being terrorized by something, caught on audio inside her home and parked car — a cloaked figure stalking her while out in public. From there, things get strange with experiences involving unexpected ways spirit connects via technologies like cell phones and email attachments. And things get personal as Cyn opens up about losing her mother — and the moment she found her handwritten funeral wishes tucked in an old journal just before the service and a very odd series of events involving her beloved dog, Teddy Bear. 
We also discuss stories Cyn has received, including one of a woman led by her late grandmother through total darkness into a place of overwhelming, indescribable color, before wrapping up with a first look at her new book series, The Unquiet Dead.

Appalachia has no shortage of monsters. Tis Cryptid Country out there.
Today we're heading into the hills and hollers for a chaotic charcutic collection of Appalachian cryptids. I offer you some classics, some obscure, some who landed on the page of a newspaper and some that landed in the middle of nowhere for a little sip of blood. These beasts weren’t easy to classify. So…this island of misfit toys gets their very own show!
Today we’ll discuss:
🐑 Sheepsquatch — the mysterious white creature associated with West Virginia and some much older Appalachian stories.
👹 The Grafton Monster — a bizarre 1964 encounter that exploded into a full-blown monster hunt before eventually becoming one of the most fascinating examples of how folklore can evolve.
🐒 Devil Monkeys — mysterious, incredibly fast creatures described as resembling enormous kangaroos, with reports dating back decades.
🌱 The Vegetable Man — one of the strangest Appalachian high-strangeness cases, sitting somewhere between cryptid encounter, UFO story, and folklore.
🩸 The Bloodless Howler — a terrifying West Virginia chupacabra-like creature said to have the face and mane of a lion and the body of a timber wolf.
