- An urgent and provocative message urging parents and adults alike to put your phones down and connect. Our children are facing a rapidly changing landscape, shifting from play-based to phone-based childhoods that influence how they perceive and interact with the world.
Devi welcomes back clinical psychologist and Conscious Parenting Movement Founder Dr. Shefali to discuss how conscious parenting has grown since her 2010 book The Conscious Parent and why she wrote two new books, Raising Conscious Daughters and Raising Conscious Sons (releasing September 15).
Dr. Shefali warns us that cheap, superficial “knowledge,” instant gratification, and reduced boredom undermine focus, creativity, grit, and resilience, contributing to anxiety, depression, self-harm, loneliness, and suicidality. She is empowering parents to act fast, break away from the algorithm, and put your phones down because this technological world is not designed for healthy childhoods.

Darian shares her path from newsroom work and burnout to creating more nuanced beauty journalism that values specificity, empathy, and strong personal standards while avoiding “gotcha” media and telling people what to think. Darian reflects on reconnecting with God, becoming flexible with self-care, and the importance of reducing fixation on celebrity.

See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. - Devi welcomes back Dr. Rheeda Walker, a clinical psychologist and professor focused on Black mental health, to discuss shifts in mental-health awareness since the pandemic and the need for credible, culturally informed care amid misinformation and a shortage of providers. Walker explains how avoidance and media narratives shape fears about mental illness, why training and credentials matter, and introduces “psychological fortitude” as the ability to stay grounded despite life stressors, using a simple 0–10 self-rating to assess needs and choose effective responses over knee-jerk coping. They also discuss Walker’s book No Racial Elephants in the Therapy Room, describing how therapists’ discomfort with race can harm clients and why clinicians must address “elephants” directly. Her “soul work” is to pause, breathe, and rate your psychological fortitude when frustrated. What is your capacity to be able to stay grounded and to take care of the things that I am able to do?"

See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. - In this special Q&A episode, Devi responds to deeply personal questions from the Deeply Well community about relationships, intuition, and knowing when it may be time to let go.
From navigating friendships you've outgrown to finding clarity when a marriage no longer feels aligned, Devi explores reciprocity, emotional maturity, trusting what your body is telling you, and releasing the pressure to stay simply because nothing appears "wrong" from the outside. Through reflections from her own life, she offers an honest reminder that relationships should leave room for us to feel nourished, inspired, supported, and fully ourselves.
Sometimes the work isn't figuring out how to hold on; it's trusting yourself enough to recognize when it's time to move forward.

Weezy is unapologetically and unconventionally herself, and that's exactly why we love her. In this episode, she speaks candidly about love, marriage, and why, ultimately, "love is not enough" to sustain any relationship. Devi and Weezy also dive into entrepreneurship, obsession, and how the things she genuinely enjoys, even the taboo ones, become the roadmap for her success.
