    19/1/2026 | 27 mins.
This episode continues our two-part series on the writing process, moving from brainstorming to the next important step: outlining.
Annie and Lilah talk about why making a plan before you write can save time, reduce stress, and lead to clearer writing. We explain how to distinguish main ideas from supporting details, how to organize ideas logically, and how to put together a simple and effective paragraph outline. This episode is especially helpful for language learners and anyone who feels overwhelmed once the ideas are on the page.
Just like Part 1, this episode also comes with a video version. You can visit our YouTube channel to watch us build an outline step by step and see exactly how ideas are selected, ordered, and turned into a writing plan.

S2E19 Writing from Scratch (Part 1): Brainstorming

    12/1/2026 | 32 mins.
This episode kicks off a two-part series on the writing process, starting with the very first—and often most intimidating—step: brainstorming.
Annie and Lilah talk about what brainstorming really is (and what it’s not), why “good writing” doesn’t start with perfect sentences, and how getting ideas out of your head and onto paper makes everything easier. We break down how to generate ideas freely, how to group related ideas, and how to tell the difference between main ideas and supporting details.
This episode is also a first for Find Someone Who—we’re trying a video version of the podcast! 🎥
Listeners can head over to our YouTube channel to watch Lilah demonstrate the brainstorming process in real time—showing how to put ideas on paper, organize them visually, and shape messy thoughts into something usable.
👉 The brainstorming demo begins at 16:20, so feel free to jump straight to that section if you want to see the process in action.
Whether you’re a student, a language learner, or someone who freezes at a blank page, this episode is here to remind you that writing doesn’t begin with writing—it begins with thinking, playing, and exploring ideas.
    🎧 Listen for the concepts
    📺 Watch for the process
✍️ And get ready for Part 2
💬 Tell us what you think about this video version of our podcast. Is it more helpful? What do you think we can do to help you more?

    S2E18 Happy 2026! Let’s Talk About Friendship 2026

    05/1/2026 | 38 mins.
    Happy New Year! 🎊

We’re kicking off 2026 with a topic that feels especially right for a new beginning: friendship.
In this episode, Lilah and Annie talk about what being a friend really means to them—how friendships form, how they change over time, and what it takes to maintain them. We explore cultural differences in making and keeping friends, including expectations around closeness, communication, and emotional support.
Along the way, we share our own experiences—friendships that lasted, friendships that drifted, and the ones that surprised us the most. Because if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that friendship doesn’t always look the same at every stage of life—or in every culture.
Starting a new year often means new goals, new routines, and sometimes new people. This episode is an invitation to reflect on the friendships you already have, the ones you miss, and the ones you might be ready to build next.
As always, it’s an honest, thoughtful, and relatable conversation—perfect for listening to at the beginning of a brand-new year.
Happy 2026, and welcome back to Find Someone Who 💛

Find Someone Who 💛

    S2E16 — The Not-so-Happy Holiday Edition

    22/12/2025 | 34 mins.
    Christmas is magical.
    Christmas is cozy.
    Christmas is… also a lot.
In this episode, Annie and Lilah gently poke fun at the not-so-happy side of the holidays—the kind that shows up when you’ve wrapped one too many gifts, Googled “how long to cook a turkey” for the fifth time, and heard that Christmas song again before December even starts.
We chat about holiday burnout, the strange pressure around gift buying and giving, the emotional rollercoaster of Christmas cooking, and the mystery of why Christmas music somehow feels nostalgic and irritating at the same time.
This is not a “bah humbug” episode. Think of it more as a friendly holiday vent—lighthearted, relatable, and reassuring. Because loving Christmas doesn’t mean you have to love every part of it.
As always, in true Find Someone Who fashion, there are laughs, shared confessions, and plenty of “okay, so it’s not just me” moments.
Perfect for listeners who love Christmas, feel tired by Christmas, or are just here for the holiday snacks.
