In this episode, Brendan talks to Dr. Sarah McCorquodale. Dr. McCorquodale is a family physician who believes the most impactful care happens when patients feel heard, supported, and capable of change. Alongside her clinical work, she plays a key leadership role in medical education as Regional Associate Dean for the Interior at the University of British Columbia, where she provides strategic direction for undergraduate and postgraduate medical training across British Columbia’s Interior.
Working closely with Interior Health, Divisions of Family Practice, and community partners, she helps create high-quality, community-connected learning environments and supports the growth of health research in the region. A clinical associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine, Dr. McCorquodale has held several educational leadership roles, including Family Practice Site Director, Clinical Experiences Integration Co-Lead, and medical school course co-director.
Across all of her work, she brings a grounded, compassionate approach—focused on practical, sustainable change, strong relationships, and supporting both patients and learners in building confidence and capability over time.
