Receiving Love: The Spiritual Experience That Changed My Heart Forever

    01/07/2026 | 44 mins.
Receiving Love: The Spiritual Experience That Changed My Heart

What if the prayer you've been asking God to answer... is already being answered, just not in the way you expected?

This is one of the most personal episodes I've ever recorded.

A few weeks ago, I was invited to my very first First Nations ceremony. I went with an open heart, a lot of curiosity, and honestly... a lot of nerves. I thought I was going to support someone else. I thought I was there to pray for the men and to deepen my connection to my Indigenous roots.

What I didn't expect was that I would leave with one of the most profound experiences of my life.

This episode isn't really about the ceremony.

    It's about learning to receive.

It's about what happens when you've spent your whole life being the strong one, the helper, the healer, the woman who holds everyone else—and then God creates a moment where all you can do is receive love.

I'll share the signs that guided me there, the unexpected healing that took place, the powerful lessons I walked away with, and why I believe this experience changed my heart forever.

If you've been praying for clarity, healing, or wondering if God is leading you somewhere you don't yet understand, I hope this conversation reminds you that He is always working behind the scenes—even when you can't yet see the full picture.

In this episode, we talk about:

Following the signs and trusting God's guidance

My first experience attending a First Nations ceremony

What it means to truly receive love instead of always giving it

Healing father wounds and opening your heart

Why resistance doesn't always mean you're on the wrong path

The unexpected peace I experienced during the ceremony

Trusting God's plan over your own

The three biggest lessons I'm taking with me from this experience

    My biggest takeaways:

✨ Pray for what God wants for your life, not just what you want.

✨ Pray for the vessel that can hold the blessings you're asking for.

✨ Elevation happens in segments. Stay regulated. Stay patient. Trust the waiting.

One of the greatest realizations I had was this:

I thought I went there to heal... but instead, I was the one being healed.

Maybe that's what healing really is.

    Not becoming someone different.

But finally believing you were worthy of receiving love all along.

If this episode touched your heart, I'd love to hear from you. Send me a message on Instagram or share this episode with someone who's walking through their own season of healing, faith, or becoming.

And if you're feeling called into a deeper relationship with God while creating a rich, purposeful, and joy-filled life, I'd love to invite you into my new Elevation Mastermind: https://jackie-mcdonald.mykajabi.com/offers/QUo2VadP/checkout. It's a six-week journey where we'll combine tapping, prayer, faith, and personal growth as we learn to trust God's plan and become the women we're being called to be.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for listening. And thank you for allowing me to share this part of my journey with you. 🤍

    Maybe you're waiting.

Maybe you're being asked to let go.

Maybe your plans have changed completely.

Or maybe you can just feel that you're becoming someone new.

This week, I sat down with my journal and wrote one sentence:

I am in a season of elevation.

As I kept writing, I realized something.

Elevation isn't just about making more money, finding the relationship, landing the opportunity, or checking off the next goal.

It's about who God is asking us to become before those things arrive.

In today's episode, I'm sharing the biggest lessons I've learned during this season, the affirmations I'm speaking over my own life, and the scriptures that have been carrying me through uncertainty, surrender, waiting, and becoming.

"What God wants for my life is what I want for my life."

✨ The scriptures I've been leaning on every single day

✨ The affirmations I'm speaking over this next chapter of my life

    Scriptures Mentioned

    Proverbs 3:5-6

    Matthew 7:16
"By their fruits you will recognize them."

Blindfolded & Blessed: You don't have to know where you're going to trust where you're being led.

    17/06/2026 | 14 mins.
Have you ever felt like God was leading you somewhere beautiful, but refused to hand you the map?

In this deeply personal episode, Jackie shares what she's learning in a season that feels both blindfolded and blessed—a season of trusting without knowing, receiving without controlling, and discovering that fulfillment isn't found in what's coming next, but in fully loving the life you have today.

Reflecting on where she was exactly one year ago—heartbroken, grieving, and unsure of what was ahead—Jackie shares the powerful lessons that have emerged through surrender, faith, and allowing life to unfold in ways she never could have planned.

If you've been feeling uncertain about your next step, questioning whether you're making the right decisions, or wondering what God is doing behind the scenes, this episode is a reminder that you don't have to see the entire path to trust where you're being led.

Sometimes faith looks like taking the next step without knowing where the staircase ends.

Sometimes the release isn't the end of the story—it's the beginning of something greater.

And sometimes the greatest miracle is realizing that your life is already beautiful before it becomes everything you've dreamed of.

    In This Episode You'll Learn:

Why the release is never the whole story

How to trust God when you can't see what's next

The truth about making the "wrong" decision

    Why fulfillment comes before desire

How appreciation opens the door to receiving more

The difference between trusting the outcome and trusting God

Why you can deeply love your life while still wanting more

What it means to walk by faith instead of sight

How seasons of uncertainty often become seasons of transformation

Why you don't have to know where you're going to trust where you're being led

    Key Takeaways

    ✨ Release is often preparation.

✨ You can't get it wrong when you're listening, trusting, and taking the next step.

✨ God is bigger than your mistakes.

✨ Fulfillment attracts what desperation cannot.

✨ There is good for you here and there is good for you ahead.

✨ The path doesn't need to be clear for the next step to be obvious.

    ✨ Trust isn't knowing how—it's knowing Who.

    Journal Question

If nothing changed in the next six months, what in your life could you appreciate more deeply today?

    08/06/2026 | 13 mins.
Trust God’s Plan for Your Life (Even When It Looks Different Than Yours)

Have you ever found yourself gripping tightly to a vision for your life, only to have everything unfold differently than you imagined?

In this heartfelt Monday episode, Jackie shares one of the biggest lessons she's learned over the past year: sometimes the greatest blessing isn't what God gives you—it's what He lovingly redirects, removes, or protects you from.

Drawing from the affirmation inside her 21 Days of Tapping, Prayer & Affirmations experience, Jackie explores the powerful practice of surrendering control, trusting divine timing, and learning to recognize the subtle whispers, nudges, and miracles guiding you toward a bigger plan than the one you created for yourself.

If you're navigating uncertainty, grief, change, relationship transitions, health challenges, parenting struggles, or simply feeling called into a new season of life, this episode will remind you that you are not walking alone.

    Based on today's affirmation:

"I trust God's plan for my life."

Jackie shares personal stories, lessons from a recent church service, powerful tapping insights, and a moving experience helping a First Nations elder release years of physical pain through EFT tapping.

    In This Episode, You'll Learn:

Why surrendering control often creates space for bigger blessings

How to trust God's timing when life feels uncertain

The difference between giving up and cooperating with divine guidance

How grief can deepen your connection with God, Spirit, or the Universe

The importance of paying attention to subtle nudges, glimmers, and miracles

Three qualities that create courage: trust, humility, and faith

A powerful journaling prompt to uncover resistance to trusting your path

How EFT tapping can help you find peace in seasons of transition

The remarkable healing experience Jackie witnessed with a First Nations elder

Why learning EFT tapping can become one of the most valuable tools in your life

    Journal Prompt

Rate your agreement with this statement on a scale from 0–10:

"I trust God's plan for my life."

    Then journal on:

"I don't trust God's plan for my life because..."

Allow yourself to be completely honest and specific. The more specific you are, the more clarity and healing become available.

    Powerful Quote from This Episode

"Maybe there is something greater that you don't even know exists yet. By being willing to surrender your plan, your control, and your idea of how things should happen, you may be guided onto a path more magnificent than you could have imagined."
