On Season 1 Episode 4 of Little Warriors, host Rebecca Horan talks to registered Dietician and Physiologist, Orla Walsh. Orla initially graduated as a Physiologist from Trinity College Dublin. She then became a Clinical Nutritionist by completing an MSc in Clinical Nutrition from Roehampton University. In order to work with medical conditions and within a hospital setting, Orla needed to become a Registered Dietitian so she studied for a PgDip in Dietetics at Kings College London. As sports performance is a personal interest to her, this lead to a professional interest in becoming a Performance/ Sports Nutritionist. Therefore, Orla continued her studies and gained a PgDip in Sports & Exercise Nutrition at Ulster University. Orla has worked in hospitals in the UK and Ireland. However, has been working as a Dietitian in her own clinic since 2011. Orla was the former Head Performance Nutritionist and Dietitian with Athletics Ireland and consultant to the Irish Institute of Sport where she worked with many athletes in the build up to the 2016 Rio Olympics.Orla Walsh is the authoritative figure that leading PR agencies, brands, and corporate entities trust for unmatched expertise. She has partnered with numerous global and local brands and worked with countless top tier corporates and retailers on their nutrition strategies.She has written for the Irish Independent since 2016 and is a regular contributor to other national media outlets across print, TV and radio. Orla also runs a number of active social media accounts across multiple platforms, while also running her healthy living blog and providing countless recipes for people to learn from.
