This week’s meditation explores the gut–brain axis, the profound and ongoing conversation between your digestive system and your nervous system. So many of us experience gut discomfort, tension or irregularity without realising how closely it is linked to stress, safety and emotional processing. The belly is not only responsible for digesting food, it also responds to our thoughts, our experiences and our sense of inner security. When we learn to soften the breath, lengthen the exhale and restore a feeling of calm in the body, we directly support this communication pathway and create the conditions for both emotional and physical balance. This practice is an invitation to listen more closely to the intelligence of your body, to recognise the gut as a messenger rather than a problem, and to cultivate the kind of internal safety that allows true healing to unfold.
