  • The man, the myth, the midnight messages
In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah pick up where they left off after Hannah rediscovers the long-lost screenshots from ‘Gareth the Weird Tinder Guy’ and his post-date text barrage. She reads them aloud to take Matty on a journey from polite ‘go wells’ to a spectacular ‘f*ck this’ emotional implosion. Matilda shares her own encounter with an unhinged Facebook messenger whose rants somehow didn’t “violate community standards,” and the pair ponder how rejection, the internet, and a few too many can send people right off the rails. The girls swap Halloween stories, debut their brand new Untidy T-shirts, and reminisce on Hannah’s Wanaka girls’ weekend that produced a full cup and a cracking ‘Car Cassettes’ playlist just for the millennials. Hannah also talks about a brand-new podcast she co-hosts with Vedic Meditation Teacher, Georgia Vavasour, called ‘Unbound’. All about finding your place in modern spirituality, Georgia helps listeners get unbound on all of the big life questions, like, relationships, astrology, manifestation, happiness, purpose, religion, consciousness and accessing your clarity. In a digestible, accessible, practical, and light-hearted way, Georgia helps listeners, (and Hannah), to help get through the bumpy road of personal growth. • Untidy LIVE with Chelsea Winter
In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah sit down in person with the glittering, best-selling author, Chelsea Winter, for a very special live conversation with the cookbook queen, mother of two, and all-round force of divine feminine nature. Chelsea has been part of our kitchens and hearts since MasterChef days, and she opens up about everything from her free-range childhood to following intuition, navigating motherhood solo, and finding balance between her brand and her true self. She shares the journey from corporate burnout to MasterChef glory, her evolution through plant-based living and back to balance with her instant best-selling cookbook, Nourish, and how her relationship with food has mirrored her personal growth. Chelsea speaks with striking honesty about the tougher parts of that journey too. Dealing with public criticism, navigating the expectations of fame, and calling out the sexism that still surfaces when women dare to expand beyond the boxes they’ve been put in. Her candour about self-doubt, resilience, and finding strength through vulnerability made for some of the most powerful moments of the afternoon. Chelsea talks candidly about motherhood, in all its joy, chaos, ego hits, and the daily lessons our kids throw back at us. She shares how she’s discovered the importance of self-care, boundaries, and honouring your inner knowing. She shares about her upcoming ‘Nourish & Bloom’ retreats, designed to help women reconnect with their divine feminine energy and each other, and her plans for her future direction. Thank you to our live audience for turning up to share this moment and bringing an incredible vibe. We were honoured to host you and get to hang out for an unforgettable afternoon! • Live, laugh, lamb shoulder
In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah return fresh (ish) from Taranaki, still riding the high of their live show with Chelsea Winter — sequins, sparkle, and sumptuous snacks. They recap the chaos, the goodie bags, and the rally driver who got them to the airport with four minutes to spare. Somewhere between the lamb paddocks and face masks that never were, the pair cover:• Autumns first crime,• A return of ‘Gareth the Weird Tinder Guy,• The must-watch reality show called Virgin Island that turns out to be surprisingly wholesome, and• A listener story deserves a round of applause. It’s all signature Untidy oversharing, late record hysterics, and capping things off with an evening bowel movement, a korean face mask, and asking the audience to make decisions to shape the show. So pop on your Swanndri, grab a lamington, and settle in for another round of beautiful nonsense from your favourite Hilux and her best, favourite podcast partner. ***VOTE FOR UNTIDY IN THE LISTENERS' CHOICE AWARD NOW TO HELP US TAKE IT OUT IN THE NZ PODCAST AWARDS! • Going solo and donor dads with Jo Mackie
In this episode of Untidy, Matilda and Hannah sit down with listener Jo Mackie to talk about one of the biggest decisions a person can make — becoming a single mother by choice. After years of dating, freezing her eggs, and quietly shelving her dream of motherhood, Jo found herself at 43 standing at a crossroads. Either grieve the life she thought she’d have, or create it on her own. With a little push from her closest friends, a fertility specialist who declared “we’re here to make babies, Jo,” and the universe conspiring in her favour, she embarked on a journey that would bring her son into the world. Jo talks us through what it’s really like: the IVF rollercoaster, choosing a donor, and navigating pregnancy and parenthood without a partner. She also shares her rare and beautiful ongoing relationship with her donor, Kyle, and the donor-sibling connections she’s fostering for Ashton’s future. This is a story of courage, friendship, and self-trust. It’s a reminder that family doesn’t always look the way you first imagined it, but it can still be absolutely perfect it its own unique way. ***VOTE FOR UNTIDY IN THE LISTENERS' CHOICE AWARD NOW TO HELP US TAKE IT OUT IN THE NZ PODCAST AWARDS!
